FREE BOOK FRIDAY

This week’s Free Book Friday title is More Than Words, Volume 7.  About as close to a Thanksgiving title as I could get. 😀

To enter the giveaway for this book, simply leave a comment to today’s post that includes the code FBF—for “Free Book Friday,” of course—to let me know you’re interested in the drawing. (U.S. residents only for the prize, please, but everyone is welcome to chat.)

Winner will be announced during our Happy Sunday post on…well, you know, Sunday. Winner is responsible for contacting me with her mailing information—i.e. I will not be contacting you—so be sure to check back in or you might not even know you won! :uhoh (If prize isn’t claimed within 14 days, another name may be drawn or item may be tossed back into the goody bag to be re-used for a future giveaway.)

FBF. I am not going out shopping today I hope.

    • Heidi says:

LOL I’m with you, Debra! No Black Friday shopping for me. I’m staying inside where it’s warm & safe. For me, there’s nothing that I need so badly, no matter the deal, that I’m willing to deal with the crowds & traffic & rudeness. No, thank you. :ohcrap

A PSA AND a joke? I am totally stealing that dog picture for my blog & FB page!!! :lol

    • Heidi says:

It made me chuckle, too! And really, I didn’t know turkey was toxic to dogs! The bones, sure, but who’da thought more of it? If I ever get a pup, I’ll definitely have to research that more carefully!

  3. Donna says:

Happy Friday. Loving the cat picture. I can soooo relate. fbf

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Yet again, my turkey was underdone. At least this year it was just around the leg joints. Not sure it’s worth the trouble to make a turkey though I love eating it. I immediately made bowls of turkey for the cats, they ate two bites and walked away. One of the three didn’t even do that. What!!!! I had a cat who ate an entire 12 lb. turkey (over a week or two) because I left in the giblets and stuff (it was my first) and I was too grossed out to eat it. She weighed about 6 lbs. soaking wet but LOVED turkey, would howl the whole time it was cooking.

    • Heidi says:

That is too cute, Anne! I happily offer my kittehs as much turkey as they want. I’ll give them the blood & bits raw, if they want it (I normally feed them a raw diet, so this is nothing peculiar), & then also little bits once it’s cooked. They *sometimes* poke at it, but this year turned their noses up entirely. UNTIL I reheated a bit of turkey later on & sat down to eat…then I had three of them on my lap, begging me to share.

Seriously?!? Apparently turkey is only yummy to them when it’s *mine* & not offered to them directly. Hmph. :purplebat

:lol Fbf…..awesome day since my husband does the midnight shopping for gifts for the kids. I got to stay home and read my romance novels.

  34. Cathy Ward says:

    FBF… really appreciate that today.
No way am I going out and I usually have lunch at Chili’s on Friday. It’s right next to Walmart so I assume there will be craziness.
I keep a box in the closet and shop all year. Just put gift in box, after Thanksgiving drag it out and see what I have for everyone. Then I do a little fill-in shopping for the rest.
Today I opted to stay home and eat chocolate pudding pie.

    :jack

  35. Lindsay says:

FBF. I had to go out to renew my license plates but no shopping for me. I can’t handle crowds.

There was no way in he** I was going out in those crazy people pushing crowds and getting trampled over a flat screen tv or fear of getting pepper sprayed by some idiot who wanted my place in line. I’ll stay home and shop online without having to worry about the crowds of crazies who are out and about.

Happy weekend! Please enter me in your fbf. No shopping, I have three little ones. There’s no way I’m going near the crowds.

FBF! No way will I fight those crowds!!

  43. Jen B. says:

FBF – I was flying home on Black Friday! According to the news, it was a violent time!
