A Friday Funny
Free Book Friday
Very exciting Free Book Friday today. My author copies of INHERITING HIS SECRET CHRISTMAS BABY have just arrived, & I’m going to give one away—autographed, of course—to some lucky Dungeon-dwelling winner.
To enter, simply leave a comment to today’s post that includes the code FBF—for “Free Book Friday”—to let me know you’re interested in the drawing. (U.S. residents only for the prize, please, but everyone is welcome to chat.) Winner will be announced during our Happy Sunday post on…well, you know, Sunday. Winner is also responsible for contacting me with her mailing information—i.e. I will not be contacting you—so be sure to check back in or you might not even know you won! :happyjoy

10 Things That Sound Dirty At Thanksgiving, but Aren’t…
10. “Just reach in and grab the giblets.”
9. “Whew…that’s one terrific spread!”
8. “I am in the mood for a little dark meat!”
7. “Tying the legs together will keep the inside moist.”
6. “Talk about a HUGE breast!”
5. “And he forces his way into the end zone!”
4. “She’s 5000 pounds fully inflated and it takes 15 men to hold her down.”
3. “It’s cool whip time!”
2. “If I don’t unbutton my pants, I am going to burst!”
1. “It must be broken ’cause when I push on the tip, nothing squirts out.”

Hope everybody is going to have a restful and happy weekend! (Unlike me, who’s put of cleaning for Thanksgiving until tomorrow. I should test the eggnog now, right?)
On November 19, 2010 at 10:44 am
Heidi says:
It’s really your duty to test the eggnog, Pam. Think what could happen if the eggs have salmonella…or the alcohol-to-other ratio is off. You can’t take chances when it comes to the health & well-being of friends & family. :tpspspspt

Heidi says:
I’m with you, Hollie. I do eat turkey on Thanksgiving & Xmas, but have *major* carnivore guilt about it & try to be more careful the rest of the year. :sadheart
On November 19, 2010 at 4:08 pm
Laura J says:
I’m hoping we have chicken and not turkey. I don’t like turkey, will eat a little if there is nothing else, but I’m sure my mother in law will over cook and there will be plenty to chose from and I can skip the turkey.

Im going to make our “feast”..and i think chicken will be the meat…blechhh…oh well… :sick I will give it my all…and we’ll have a happy day anyway! :Bigthumbs

Heidi, I see the movie “Alphabet Killer” in your “what we’re watching” – did you like it? It’s in my Netflix queue. I am watching DAYBREAKERS tonight (again). Awesome, awesome movie!
On November 19, 2010 at 7:00 pm
Heidi says:
Thanks so much, Jessica—you know how much I hugely appreciate the support! :blowkiss
And, actually, I haven’t gotten around to starting Alphabet Killer yet. Intended to, then got sidetracked by a Monk marathon on Sleuth & Wrong Turn (for the 2000th time :crazy ) I do want to watch it soon, tho, so I’ll lyk.
Haven’t seen Daybreakers yet…have I mentioned how bad I am about seeing movies till about 3yrs after they were out? :stalker …but I love that sort of thing, so I want to. Is it good?
Oh, & are you watching The Walking Dead on AMC? Loving it!
On November 19, 2010 at 9:23 pm
Heidi says:
Okay, I have watched Alphabet Killer. It was okay. Not fabu, but not awful, either. I really like Eliza D., so she can get me thru a lot. (She got me thru every episode of Dollhouse, didn’t she? :cry )
There were parts of the story & suspense level that I liked & others I didn’t. Didn’t like the end at all; some of it was a bit too unbelievable for me & I wish it had gone in a different direction. It also reminded me of Copycat in a lot of ways, if that tells you anything.
So—it was okay, glad I finally got around to watching it, but I probably won’t bother to watch it again. :justsoool

*just* read about The Walking Dead in Entertainment Weekly – haven’t seen it yet but it looks SO good!
Daybreakers is awesome – there is one little part I would change near the end, but if you can forgive that then it’s a huge bucket of WIN. SEE IT! Esp being a vamp lady like you are, you owe it to yourself to see it! 😉
thx for the Alphabet Killer review, will not bump it up on the list. Besides, I’m busy watching the last 2 eps of True Blood Season 3 tonight. *squee!* :dracuulla
