A FRIDAY FUNNY
Don’t ask me why I’m suddenly on a “fat” kick…maybe it’s guilt over the number of cookies I ate over the holidays. :chocolate But whether you overindulged or not, I think you’ll enjoy these as much as I do…
FREE BOOK FRIDAY
Was one of your New Year’s resolutions to start a new diet & watch what you eat—for real this time? Well, sorry, but this book certainly isn’t going to help with that. :beerlaugh

It’s hilarious, & I think you’ll love it. I know I did. :happyjoy

wishes for 2011
Tuesday was Goals for 2011 & now I’m going to make some wishes. You know, the close your eyes, cross your fingers, & hope they come true kind. :thumbsup
I wish for awesome covers for my 2011 releases, MUST LOVE VAMPIRES & HER LITTLE SECRET, HIS HIDDEN HEIR. I’ve been really super-lucky so far in my career, but every single one makes me hold my breath a little & hope for more favor from the cover gods. It shouldn’t be long before I find out, either…HIDDEN HEIR comes out in June & VAMPIRES in October, so I’m guessing the artwork is being done for both right now!
I wish for more fabulous book sales…& the ability to write them even faster & better than in the past.
I wish for brilliant ideas that will lead me to fabulous book sales & hopefully help me writ them faster & better than ever.
I wish for a slower passage of time. I don’t need more than the requisite 24 hours in a day, but it might be nice if each hour were, say, 120 minutes long. Or better yet, 240. That’s not so much to ask, is it?
I wish I could find a new—& by new, I mean old—mouse toy for Pekoe. Like a child who bonds with a particular stuffed animal, he has this one little mouse toy he absolutely loves & carries around like a security blanket. Unfortunately, “Ralph,” as we call him, is looking really shabby—missing ear, ripped seams, loose stuffing—& no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to get Pekoe interested in any other toy. Not even the updated version of the exact same mouse. So I wish, very strongly, that I could somehow find the old, original version of this toy for him. If I could, I’d buy a million of them, I swear!
I wish for more Snuggies. Ideally, I’d like to have one for each cat & one for myself, since any time I try to use the ones I’ve already got, they steal it away. They’re also very territorial about them…once a cat lays claim to a particular Snuggie, that’s it; nobody else is allowed to sleep on it–including me!
I wish for calorie-free chocolate. (Seriously—they can put a man on the moon, but they can’t find a way to take calories out of junk food?!) And as long as I’m at it, calorie-free soda, cake, cookies, ice cream, & Doritos. Thank you.
I wish our soldiers would come home from overseas. Regardless of my—or your—political leanings, I think we can all agree it’s been long enough, already. Let’s call it a day & bring them the hell home.
I wish styrofoam would be outlawed completely. It is EVIL!
I wish companies would stop cutting down rainforest tress to make paper products like toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, & paper plates. If an handful of them can make those things out of 100% recycled materials, then why can’t they all? (Duh.)
I wish animals weren’t considered simply property & lesser beings. That more people would be kind & compassionate toward them & realize the importance of rescue & adoption over breeding & buying. Oh, & also that being a Cat Lady would become the latest hot trend so that everybody would want to be one. :yougogirl
I wish Firefly would come back on the air. And if Castle has to be canceled for that to happen, so be it. I also wish My Name is Earl would come back. Not only was it an awesome show, but they left us hanging with the cruelest cliffhanger ever. And as long as I’m at it, I wouldn’t mind a return of Eyes, Numb3rs, Monk… The list goes on & on, but the top choice will always be Firefly, dammit!
I wish my Darling Dwayne’s car would break down in front of my house. I would be happy to let him use my phone to call AAA…& if they can find him handcuffed to the pipe in my basement, they can even help him get his car running again. Not that it will do him any good once I hide the keys. I would also be happy to offer my opinion on a variety of martial arts moves, if Jason Statham cares to drop by & give me a private demonstration. Shirtless, of course.
So there you have it, just a few of my wishes for the New Year. I don’t think they’re that far out of the realm of possibility, do you? Although, a magic lamp with a nice, generous genie inside might help.
Now it’s your turn! Tell us your Wishes for 2011—realistic or far-fetched…The Dungeon Genie accept all kinds.
