Happy Hunk Day
They don’t call him SuperMan for nothin’. :notworthy
ITryWriMo
As many of you probably know, November is National Novel Writing Month…also known as NaNoWriMo. The idea behind it is to really buckle down & write as much as you can, as fast as you can by the end of the month. (50,000 words in 30 days is the goal, but I’m sure you can change it to whatever works best for you.)
Now, I’m all for goals, but you know how Mistress Heidi & I feel about being told what to do. We do not like to be pressured. :devil But since we’re working on our next vampire romance now, anyway, our attitude is going to be what the heck! We may not get 50,000 new works written this month…we may not even get 30,000 like last year’s goal (which I believe we met, thankyouverymuch :thumbsup ), but we’ve got some catching up to do after NJRW, anyway, so we’re going to try. :hothot
Also just like last year, we’re going to rename our attempt ITryWriMo & our “Under the Whip” word count meter in the sidebar is going to change to reflect this month’s progress. And I’m going to go ahead & mark the goal as 50,000…at the very least, it will give us something to chuckle about when I don’t even get close. :beerlaugh
So if you’re a writer yourself & would like to play along, let me know—I’ll add a progress meter to the sidebar for you, too, so we can all be humiliated together. :stalker
P.S. Today is Election Day, so don’t forget to vote! (At the very least, it’s a great way to buy a little more time before you have to sit down to write.)
