I went shopping with a friend once & was chatting with the clerk who rang up my purchases. As we were leaving the store, my friend asked, “Did you know that woman?” I didn’t. “Then why were you being so nice to her?” my friend asked.

I’m nice to pretty much everybody unless they tick me off. And especially those who work in the service industry. I mean, I wouldn’t want to be on my feet all day, deal with the general public, etc. GAH! This is so true and I always say I follow the silver rule – treat others as they treat me. 9 times out of 10 I am very nice to people but there is always that buttmunch who has to be a dbag.
