Happy Sunday + Race to “Runaway Bride” Giveaway #3 winner

Happy Sunday!  The very last Sunday of 2013—can you believe it?  I have to admit, I’m not terribly happy about that. :whaaat

But this week I AM HAPPY that Christmas went off without a hitch.  Give or take. :snowballfight

Madame Mommy Dearest wasn’t quite as enthusiastic about her gift as I expected her to be, but it’s growing on her.  She claims her lack of gratitude was shock & the fear of using such an impressive appliance.  So we’ll see how she reacts after she’s had a little more time to get used to it. :lightman

I AM HAPPY that even though Santa didn’t bring me anything big or flashy, I still received a few very nice prezzies that brought a smile to my face. :reindeergift

I AM HAPPY that Christmas dinner was delicious & the yummy leftovers are still being enjoyed. :clink

And I AM HAPPY that most of the bestest holiday movies & specials were on this year, so I was able to record them & them watch them on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day to help put me in even more of the holiday spirit.  (Not that I don’t have most of them on DVD, but I like catching them.  And I’m still watching Scrooged, actually.)  The only one that wasn’t on this year is Elf.  What the hell is with that, people?  WTH?! :madsnowman

And finally, I AM HAPPY to announce the winner of “Race to RUNAWAY BRIDE” Giveaway #3—a signed copy of my very first holiday-themed Harlequin Desire, INHERITING HIS SECRET CHRISTMAS BABY

I am happy that your Christmas was a good one! Mine too!
I am grateful for the start of a new year! Plus the new calender book! Love the promise of organization!
    Happy New Year! :happynewyear

Good luck getting organized, Hollie! If you manage it, please pass along your tips because I can never seem to stick with that resolution myself. :snowballfight

  3. Tammy B says:

    Congrats to Judi!
I’m blessed to have a kind hearted son. For Christmas he wanted to get less presents if I would allow him to send a care package to an army troop. He choose a group of 15 soldiers stationed in Afghanistan. He choose a bunch of goodies, playing cards, and made them a Christmas card. I hope they received it by now.

    • Heidi says:

That is so awesome, Tammy! What a sweet gesture. :candycane

I’m with him—it’s getting to the point where there’s nothing that we really need, so why waste money just to have something to open? That’s why I sometimes give the bare minimum, but donate buckets to animal organizations & such. I also help MMD with stuffing stockings for soldiers via one of her groups, so we’re on the same page there. :winkcookie

That troop will be so delighted with your son’s package. Even if it arrives a little late, they’ll totally make use of everything, I’m sure—& be hugely appreciative!

  4. Mary Kirkland says:

    Congrats Judi!

I am happy that I met my new neighbor that just moved in and i don’t think she’s a crackhead like the people that moved out last month. lol Maybe there won’t be any cops called for a while…

    • Heidi says:

Oh, I hope you got a great new neighbor. I feel your bad-neighbor pain, believe me. :whaaat I live for the day a couple of mine leave & PRAY whoever replaces them are 100% better.

  5. Dee says:

    Congrats, Judi

I think Elf was only on Starz this holiday season, because my cousins were complaining about it not being on either. (They watched it on Christmas Eve, which is an annual tradition).

I’m thankful for my family, having a job where I work with a mostly great group of people and for my friends, both on and offline.

    • Heidi says:

You’re totally right, Dee. It was only on Starz, but they played it for 2 days straight. I don’t get Starz, so I was bummed it wasn’t on regular cable, like last year when it was on USA constantly. Not that I don’t have it on DVD, but still… :madsnowman
