Free Book Friday (with a side of Funny)
A FRIDAY FUNNY
A couple days late with this, but we’re going to laugh over some Mardi Gras/Lent funnies, anyway.
FREE BOOK FRIDAY
I wish I had a copy of Sandra Brown’s Fat Tuesday to give away…that’s the book I think of every. single. year. when Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday/Lent rolls around. :blowkiss But this is what I grabbed from the pile, so it will have to do…King of the Desert, Captive Bride, a Harlequin Presents by Jane Porter.

holding our for a (Harlequin) hero
We’ve had a blast the past couple weeks, lining up characters for my Harlequin Desire in-progress. But today’s the really fun one…we need to get a hot & sexy hero lined up for the Art Fact Sheet (which later leads to the book’s cover) & as a nice visual aid for Moi. :whip
So my hero’s name is Alexander Bajoran. He’s the CEO of Barjoran Designs, a gem & jewelry design company that’s been in his family for years. Somewhere along the way bad things happened, leading to a betrayal of the heroine’s family. And when she spots him in town on business, she knows who he is, but he is utterly clueless.
Without spoiling much, I’ll tell you that they end up in bed together, & a year later, he discovers that he might just be the father of her infant son. But then, there’s that whole betrayal thing standing between them. :oops
Alex has black hair & blue eyes. Very handsome & distinguished, but in a hubba-hubba drool-worthy way, of course.
Here are some of the wealthy business types I’ve zeroed in on…
Adrian Pasdar — I still adore him from his Profit days, & he rocks a suit like nobody’s business.
Richard Armitage — Gotta admit, he didn’t do much for me until I found this picture. Then I went Wowza! & haven’t stopped drooling since.
Eric Bana — Handsome, leaning strongly toward cute. And he does nice things for a suit, too, right?
Colin Farrell — Normally, his bad boy image wouldn’t work for one of my Harlequin Desire heroes. But in this case, I think he gets a pass. If by “pass” you mean, “Holy crap, he looks hot!” :dropmouth
So what do you think? Who should play this story’s hero in my brain…& maybe one day on the big screen? :winkwink
I’m also open to suggestions, since I can’t spend all of my time surfing the ‘net for suited-up hotties. :runrun

Happy Hunk Day
