Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, everyone!

How has your week been going?  In fact, how has your month been?  I hope you have lots to share with us today. #smiley15

This week, I AM HAPPY that my sweet Baby Bella seems to be on the mend.  Remember how she was having UTI issues?  Well, they cropped up a third time, which not only annoyed me, but had me worried.  Another trip to the vet, a bladder tap for sterile urine, & a send-away culture to be sure what we were dealing with.  Turns out there are struvite crystals & too-high PH levels, but no infection.  She had to get some antibiotics & painkillers, & she’s on special food that I’m not 100% thrilled about feeding her (or the others, who have never met a can of food they didn’t love #smiley8 ), but she seems to be doing much better. #smiley22

Of course, I have to take her back to the vet in a couple of weeks for another bladder tap so they can see if all of this is working, but let’s not talk about that now.  It doesn’t fall under the category of something to be grateful for. #smiley4

I AM HAPPY, too, that another of The Kittehs is doing much better on a new anti-anxiety med.  (Anxitane, which is all natural & made from green tea extract.  I highly recommend it for cats & dogs with anxiety issues; if they’re nervous, have trouble traveling, etc.)  He still has a few nervous ticks, but is visibly calmer & happier.  He plays a lot more & has started sleeping with me almost constantly—on my lap or in bed with me, if I’m not up & moving around, he’s like an extra appendage. #smiley5

And I AM HAPPY that I have at least one kind neighbor who came over after one of our heavier snowfalls & used his snow blower to clear my entire walk & driveway.  Awesome!  I shovel if I have to, but I sure don’t enjoy it.  And now I don’t have to…at least not right away. #smiley2  I think I’ll bake him something yummy as a thank-you.  Maybe he’ll be pleased enough that he’ll do it again if/when we get another batch of snow. #smiley7

So how about you—what are you happy about or thankful for this week? #smiley18

Feel free to share!  We want to hear your good news or simply your happy thoughts so we can do a little Happy Dance right along with you. #smiley1

That’s wonderful about the kitteys. Glad to hear that. I’ve had a good month. I turned 45 and had a good birthday. My dad is turning 82 in just a couple of days and he’s still in pretty good health. I’m happy that even though I found out that I have type 2 diabetes, I’m only having to take a pill a day for now. No shots, so yeah I’m happy about that.

Oh and I love the new emoticons!

That breaking the bed smiley just cracks me up because when hubby and I first moved in together…we broke the bed that first night. The screws were loose…lol

Oh, dear, I’m so sorry to hear about the diabetes, Mary. But I’m glad about the rest of your news! #smiley16

Glad you like the new emoticons! (Oh, sure, loose screws. Sure, sure—we believe that. #smiley5 ) In fact, as the first commentor of the day, you won our Lucky Four-Leaf Clover! Maybe that will make your Sunday even happier than it already is. #smiley21

#smiley1 Doing the happy dance because it looks like the end is in sight. I have been sooo sick. I couldn’t even read. #smiley6 I slept a lot, visited the Dr. twice and can now get out of bed. Some kind of viral infection kicked my tail. DH took very good care of me. #smiley11

Oh, yuck—I’m so sorry to hear that, Donna. I had noticed you weren’t around quite as much, but you never know; it could just mean you got busy. Sick is definitely worse than busy. #smiley3

I’m glad you’re starting to feel better now! I’ve been that sick, & it is NOT fun. You’re lucky to have the DH to nurse you back to health!
