Happy Sunday

Happy, Happy Sunday, my Darlings!  How has the world treated you this week? :smile28

This week, I AM HAPPY that I finished reading Fired Up by Jayne Ann Krentz, & it was very, very good!  I’ve never actually met a bad JAK book :smile29 but sometimes I’m in the mood for something exceptional that moves along quickly, & I’m happy to say that Fired Up definitely fit the bill. :smile14

I AM HAPPY, too, that I picked up my first Amanda Stevens book—The Devil’s Footprints—& it’s turning out to be really good & fast-paced, too!  I grabbed it because I wanted to get started reading some paranormals for Halloween.  Halfway through, I’m still not sure if it’s got true paranormal elements or is just a really creepy suspense, but it’s also compelling enough that I just don’t care! :smile52

And maybe most of all, I AM HAPPY that October is premiere month for The Walking Dead.  Season 5, people, Season 5!  In fact, “happy” is perhaps a major understatement…  I am ECSTATIC!!! :smile25

Get ready for lots of The Walking Dead posts because I just don’t think I’ll be able to help myself. :smile23

So what are you happy about this week?  It’s okay if you’re not as excited about Season 5 of The Walking Dead as we are…Mistress Heidi & I can forgive you for that. :smile5   We still want to hear any good news or gratitude you want to share! :smile6

:smile47 No real happy news here except the Eagles won again. The week coming up doesn’t look to happy either, but one can hope. Hope you have a good week Heidi. :smile20

Hey, having your sports team win is a good thing! :smile20

And I hope you *do* have a good week, even tho you’re not anticipating much. You never know—sometimes it’s the little things that can bring a smile to your face. :smile35

It’s October which means lots of horror movies so I’m happy.

Me, too! I just hope my faves play, maybe even several times. :smile2

As you can see from the sidebar, I was able to catch Wrong Turn today. Gads, I love that movie! It hasn’t been on in ages, either. Yes, I’ve got the DVD, but it’s somehow just not the same. :smile18

Are there any specific movies you’re hoping to catch? :smile32

I found out this week that my home town is banning people from chaining their dogs up outside 24/7, so I’m really happy about that :smile25 :smile35 Last year, my friend was trying to stop a husky from being tethered outside with no shelter all winter long and the OSPCA couldn’t do anything because huskies are fine in cold weather. They didn’t even make the family give it a wall or something for a wind breaker. So I’m really excited that this bylaw passed :smile1
Plus, I had a fairly productive weekend, so I’m happy about that too! :smile37

    • Heidi says:

Oh, Brooke, I’m THRILLED to hear that! There need to be laws about that country-wide. Every state, every city, every town, every borough…just NO!

We’ve got a situation very similar nearby, & not only does it infuriate me, but it just plain breaks my heart. And don’t get me started, because I really will burst into tears. :smile17

But this is just wonderful news! I’m going to hop on your coat tails & make it one of my HAPPY SUNDAY gratitudes, too, if you don’t mind! :smile7

      • Brooke C says:

Of course not! :smile25 I’m going to be thrilled for months thinking of all the puppies out there who won’t be forced to endure the harsh winter tethered on a short lead :smile17 People like that just make me so angry – I don’t understand why they have pets in the first place if they don’t appreciate them :smile55
