happy Sunday

“The sun…in its full glory, either at rising or setting—this, and many other like blessings we enjoy daily; and…because they are so common, most men forget to pay their praises. But let not us.”
~Izaak Walton

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you’re having a good one!

I have to tell you, even though it’s cold as a witch’s…broom, if she were to leave it out overnight…& we’ve got snow up to our…elbows…I am having a really good week/weekend.  Lots to be happy & grateful for this week!

First, you may have noticed that I haven’t been around the past couple of days.  That’s because I was out & about, running errands.  Tons & tons of long, drawn-out errands.  You know that saying, Measure twice, cut once?  Well, I make lists that are twice as long so I only have to go out & shop once. :witch

But, not only did my appointments all go well, I found everything I was looking for—in bulk, cuz that’s how I roll :winkwink —plus some.  I even found some fabu book- & Dungeon-related stuff that you guys will likely be hearing about soon.  Stuff to go with the release of MUST LOVE VAMPIRES in October…stuff to use for future giveaways…stuff to use for the monthly prize drawings on the HappyBookers loop…  Oh, so much fun—I can’t wait!

Second, I am happy to have my taxes at least partially done.  The part I’m involved in—collecting & tallying receipts—is taken care of (check that one off my post-deadline To Do list :thumbsup ) & they’re in the accountant’s hands now.  There are still probably a few things I’ll have to deal with where those are concerned, but they’re not longer hanging over me like a dark, oppressive cloud.  (And in case you’re wondering why I’ve been working on them so early, it’s because I’ve got a small issue that needs to be resolved by the first week of March…which is about the time I’d normally start thinking about doing my taxes. :tpspspspt )

top secret Pictures, Images and PhotosThird, I’ve been working on a little Top Secret project that should be a lot of fun if I can pull it off.  And it’s for you guys, so I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it.  So far, so good—if things keep moving along as they have, I should be finished soon.  Knock on wood. :notworthy

Fourth & finally, I’ve got a bit of good news to share, but for the moment, consider that Top Secret, too.  I’m going to wait until later this week to make the announcement so we have a big ol’ party in celebration.  Lots of cyber-confetti & happy dancing will be had. :party

Getting taxes done is such a pain in the rear end. I usually do mine, my hubby’s, and help my out friends and family if they are doing the 1040EZ…which is the only one I know I can do myself. lol

I see hints and teasing going on this morning with all this secret project talk.
    :tpspspspt Tease…

Congratulations to all the winners.. :brava

Lotsa news…woohoo…can’t wait to find out what the secrets are…lol! Heidi we shop in the same way. I hate going shopping so I make a list, bet everything I need in bulk, so I don’t have to go out for a while…hahahaha!!!

Congrats to all the winners! You’re gonna love the books by Carly and Joss!!! Love the Envy series. Carly’s is the second book in this series. Love them both…good thing you don’t need to read them in order, though I highly suggest that you do…Kiss Me if You Can is the first one in this Most Eligible Bachelor series. You’re gonna love her stories too.

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.

I don’t usually buy in bulk, maybe I should. Would make shopping a lot easier.

  5. Heidi says:

I think I have the hoarding gene. I would rather go out & buy a whole case of something I know I’m going to use (toilet paper, cereal, cat food) than pick up one or two every time I go out. Plus, I try not to go out very often. And when I find something I like that I worry may not be there next time I want it, like a great tea or soda or seasonal office supplies… Oh, yeah, I just load up my cart. :happyjoy

Of course, when I get home, I am always struck with the realization that I have nowhere to store all this junk. And after I do find a place, when I *need* the item, I can never seem to find it again. *sigh* :ubermad

I wouldn’t call it hoarding, Heidi. It makes more sense to buy in bulk. It’s using your time wisely as far as I see it…lol!!!

      Peace and love,
      Paula R.

I too cannot wait to hear what the news is. I’m not a big fan of surprises and have very little patience. Just thought I would throw that out there…you know…so you would know….AND STOP TEASING US ALREADY!!!!!! :angeldevil j/k

It’s been a good weekend for us. My oldest turned 18. Wow, I really don’t know how the heck that happened. One minute he was pooping in diapers and now he’s getting ready to head off to college. It’s a good thing I haven’t age any. We’ve been doing the birthday stuff all weekend and I’m worn out between work stuff and birthday stuff.

    Have a great week everyone!
