happy Sunday

Happy Sunday & Happy New Year!  I hope you’re having a terrific 2011 so far!

Since this is sort of a holiday Happy Sunday—& since we’ve got some big giveaway winner announcements to make below :eeee —I thought we’d break with tradition once again.  This week, let’s share the things we’re happy & grateful about concerning the New Year.

For instance, I’m inordinately happy that I remembered to write 2011 on a bunch of blank checks so I don’t go writing “2010” until February. And that I’ve thus far remembered to write 2011 on everything else.  So far.  Knock on wood.

I’m also excited that being in the New Year now means we can officially begin the countdown to my 2011 releases.  HER LITTLE SECRET, HIS HIDDEN HEIR from Harlequin Desire in June & MUST LOVE VAMPIRES from Kensington Brava in October! :dancing

The New Year means that holiday shopping is behind us & we can stop worrying about finding just the right gifts for everyone, getting them wrapped, getting them delivered, getting our cards out…  Whew.  The holidays are a lot of work, you know. :xmastree

And, of course, I’m extremely grateful that my loved ones & I have all gotten through another year with our health & happiness & blessings in check.  But then, I’m pretty much grateful for that every day, not just once a year. :party

So how about you?  Do you have any New Year happies (or would that be “happys”) you’d like to share?

    Congrats to the winners!!! :brava

Heidi my biggest new year fear is writing the wrong date on a check.

This year is going a good one and a tough one. My oldest graduates in June (or July depending on how many snow days we have to make up at the end of the school year). He’s looking at a different school now. He has a nomination for the US Merchant Marine Academy in New York, but is hesitant now because in the first year and a half of school he only gets about 3 1/2 weeks at home. Also, he’s more limited in his degree options there and since he is planning military career for after college he wants to do something he is interested in. He’s now looking at going to Indiana State University. It will be strange having him away but I think it will be good for him too. We will be going up for a visit soon.

2010 was a good year (despite several trips to funeral homes at the end of the year and ending up the year with a house of sickies) but I know 2011 is going to be even better! What can I say I’m an eternal optimist. :Bigthumbs

    Laura’s the angel. Hehe.

Holiday Happys huh? I am happy for the usual things – family, friends, continued health, etc. I am also happy to be back in NY. People say they see a more cheerful difference in me.

I know this will be the year I start working again and keep moving my life in a more positive direction. I am excited for the change that will bring.

Thank you guys for always listening and supporting me. You are truly a great group of women. 🙂

Im also looking forward to losing about 40 lbs this year! day 2 of the new year and so far so good! :Bigthumbs

    Congratulations to the winners. :yougogirl

This is a new, clean plate and oh my why blot it with resolutions I am not going to keep? I will make them as I go along, so I can say next year that I kept all my resolutions. LOL

This will be my first full year of retirement and I dread this. I have always worked full time and now this? What will fill all this free time? Read and catch up on the TBR pile who is threatening to topple over? Knit, walk and volunteer at the Pubic Library. :kitty

So this will be a great year and I wish you all peace, health and prosperous New Year. :brava

:cantputdown Seems to me, that I read somewhere that retirement is a time to enjoy all those pursuits that you’ve always wanted to do but had no time to do! :socool

    Congrats to the winners!!

While I don’t make resolutions because I don’t see the need for added pressure…I will say I hope this year is better than last year for my family.

:biggrin Yay! I won! I guess was I am most grateful for is opportunity to expand my art skills with the many artistic and talented friends I have that constantly challenge me.

I’m just glad 2010 is over! It was the kind of year that you pray you can forget! That said, I’m happily looking forward to studio time to record a Veteran’s Honor Song that I wrote! :thumbsup I’m happy, also, to be making some adjustments in my life, like reinstituting some traditions that I set aside last year. We’ll see what that has to offer… Oh, and of course, looking forward to what stories the new year will unfold. I may have lost all my writing from the past, but the way I look at it, that just frees me to refill my files with new stuff! :cantputdown
