Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, Darlings!  I hope you’re having a wonderful week, with lots to be thankful for.

I AM HAPPY with the writing I’ve gotten done so far this week.  I’m loving the characters & story, & things are flowing well, which is always a huge relief. :doggielick

I AM HAPPY, too, with the books I’ve been reading.  Recently finished Smart and Sexy by Jill Shalvis, which I really enjoyed, then jumped straight into the second book in the trilogy, Strong and Sexy.  It grabbed me from the very start.

I’m also reading Jessica Andersen’s Snowed in with the Boss, which is equally enjoyable, even if I’m reading it a little more slowly.

And finally, I AM HAPPY that we’ve had a free preview of HBO & Cinemax this weekend, giving me the chance to record a couple of new movies—Taken 2, Trouble with the Curve, The Big Year, & The Apparition.  Now let’s see how long it takes for me to get around to watching them. :laughing

The free preview weekend also gave me the chance to record Rock of Ages again.  Yes, I’ve seen it, but I don’t have it on DVD (yet :kittywink ) & I really liked it, so I thought I’d keep it on the DVR for a while to play in the background while I do other things.  It will make a good soundtrack to the boring activities of daily life, because as we all know, the music in the film is awesome. :puppydance

How about you?  What’s going right in your life this week that you’d like to do a little boogie about? :goteam

I’ve been reading some great books this week too. I just finished Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon and am in the middle of Dark Lycan by Christine Feehan.

I also bought some new fleece for my ratty cages. I bought green fleece because green is my favorite color and both of the cages have green fleece cubes in them right now so it matches. Of course Marbles started chewing the fleece material as soon as I cleaned the cages, which is why I’m always buying more fleece.

I love getting something new for the babies, then waiting to see what they think. Sleeping or nibbling means they like it! :doggielick

I do too. But these boys chew things up so fast. lol

yep. I cleaned out the cage on our girls one night and discovered one of them was recreating the Steve McQueen movie, The Great Escape. I’ve done a patch job and I don’t see any other possible tunnels, but geesh…can’t they just chew the sticks that I buy them!!

        • Heidi says:

They are smart little buggers. And they’ve gotta chew, right? Otherwise their chompers will get too long & make ’em sick.

But rats aren’t the only furbabies who chew. I’ve got one kitteh who bites & yanks, bites & yanks at nearly every pillow or blanket he sleeps on. Leaves holes in everything. LOL

Having a great weekend and I needed it!

B’girl did a little pageant today and got 1st runner up (First Princess). She got a tiara that she plans on wearing to school tomorrow and then also to dance along with her sash. She was so happy. She is going to kill me though. She is starting to love bling and fancy dresses. Good thing she plans on making her own money some day and won’t need to marry a billionaire because I don’t know if there will be a man that can afford her.

My middle son, got his first mid-term report and I’m so proud of him. He’s on track to make the honor roll for the first time in a while.

And the best thing. I kicked my husband out!!! Okay, just out of our shared office space. I “suggested” that maybe he should go ahead and move his office down to the basement since he was planning to do that once both of our older kids were out (not sure that’s going to happen with the middle one any time soon) and he said okay. He was going to get a new desk and I was going to take his old one, but he couldn’t find one he liked, so I got a new one! Double score!!! Of course I still have to finish organizing everything and they might take another week since I keep getting distracted by things I’m finding during my cleaning moments. :kittywink

Ha ha ha! Sounds like a great week all around! I’m LMBO at B-girl’s need for a gazillionaire. If only!

And SCORE! on the new office + new desk. Think you’ll be able to keep it neat & organized for a while? I never could. :crykitty
