Free Book Friday

How about a giveaway to help me clear a pile or two out of my office? img39

This week, I’d like to share the collection of books I read for the preliminary round of this year’s RITA a competition. img37  None of them finaled, even though I gave some very high scores, but that’s only because they still haven’t decided to let Mistress Heidi single-handedly pick the finalists and winners. img36  She’s working on it though, believe me. img24

THE PRIZE(S):

Here’s what we’re going to do…  You can enter this giveaway in one of two ways:

Entry Option #1 — Leave a comment about which of these titles you’re most eager to read.  (Commenting about only one or all six is perfectly acceptable. img42 )

Entry Option #2 — If you’ve already read one or more of these titles, leave a comment about that.  Which one(s) you’ve read, what you thought, etc.  In the case of Entry Option #2, if you win, I will send you the books from this pile that you haven’t already read, then draw another name as winner of the remaining titles…the ones you have already read.

Sound good? img16

Of course, Mistress Heidi can’t have you running around all willy-nilly; there must be structure in The Dungeon. Nothing too harsh, but that means…

THE RULES:

*U.S. residents only for the prize, please, because of high postage costs.  But everyone is welcome to comment. img40

*Winner(s) will be announced Sunday, July 5th during our regular “Happy Sunday” post.

If those aren’t to stringent for you, then good luck and let the games begin! img22

At the Duke’s Wedding because I love anthologies, Once upon a Plaid – who doesn’t like a Scottish romance? img37

    • Heidi says:

Good taste. img40 There’s one novella in the antho that was especially good, btw; it was my overall fave & I still remember it. img37

  2. DebraG says:

I read Once Upon a Plaid and enjoyed it. I would love to win the Anthology or actually any of the others.

  3. Dee says:

I think the two that were mentioned above are the FBF that really appeal to me too.

  4. Mary Kirkland says:

I haven’t read any of these but after looking them up, I think The Devil in Denim is the one I’d most like to read.

  5. Jessica Koster says:

I have not heard of any of the books so any of them are bound to be an interesting read.

  6. Karen McDonald says:

Thanks for the chance! I have not read any of these books.

  7. Donna A says:

I haven’t read any of these. How did that happen? These are all authors I read except for the anthology. Any of these would make me happy

    • Heidi says:

I know, right? I sort of felt the same when they arrived; I had to do a head scratch & wonder how I’d missed them. img33

  8. Larena Hubble says:

I have been dying to read Sharon Sala’s book.

  9. Catherine E. says:

Sophie Jordan or Stacy Gail because I’ve never read them and would like to.

    • Heidi says:

Good choices. This was my first NA (New Adult) by Sophie Jordan, so I was glad I *had* to read it. And I very much enjoyed the Stacy Gail. I’d never read her before, but I certainly would again after this one. img23

  10. Kathy Griffith says:

I love historical romance so Once Upon A Plaid appeals to me. Thanks

  11. Sarah L says:

How on earth can I pick 1? I want to read all 6 of those books!

  13. Aimee says:

I haven’t read any of those titles. Would probably start with Sharon Sala’s, but who knows! After I’d read the back covers, another may get my immediate attention. Thanks for the chance to read new (to me) authors.

    • Heidi says:

It was really hard for me to decide where to begin, too! I did the same thing—read all the backs, then tried to decide which I was *most* in the mood for at that moment. Then I had to do it again & again until I got through the whole pile! img18

  14. CrystalGB says:

Once Upon a Plaid I love Highlanders. Thanks for the giveaway. 🙂

  15. Maudeen Wachsmith says:

I’m always up for a new Sharon Sala book but they all look wonderful.
