Free Book Friday (with a side of Funny)
A FRIDAY FUNNY
FREE BOOK FRIDAY
Since we’re gearing up for my uber-fabulous Vegas vampires release, MUST LOVE VAMPIRES, I thought I should tease you a little bit with another great Vegas-set romance—Just for Kicks by Susan Andersen. (The heroine of his one is a showgirl, too! Tee-hee. :dancer )
I adore Susan. Not only is she a terrific person, & author, & friend, but she gave me a lovely quote for my “Chicks with Sticks” knitting trilogy. Her books (namely Baby, I’m Yours; Baby, Don’t Go; Be My Baby…oh, fine, all of them!) showed me that I really could write super-funny, super-sexy contemporary romances, if I wanted to. :vamp So thank you, Susan!
To enter the giveaway for this book, simply leave a comment to today’s post that includes the code FBF—for “Free Book Friday,” of course—to let me know you’re interested in the drawing. (U.S. residents only for the prize, please, but everyone is welcome to chat.)
Winner will be announced during our Happy Sunday post on…well, you know, Sunday. Winner is responsible for contacting me with her mailing information—i.e. I will not be contacting you—so be sure to check back in or you might not even know you won! :uhoh (If prize isn’t claimed within 14 days, another name may be drawn or item may be tossed back into the goody bag to be re-used for a future giveaway.)

I read Susan Andersen every once and a while. I like her books, she’s just not a must read for me. I’ve been in the paranormal/urban fantasy mode for the last couple of years. I still read contemporary romance, just a lot less.

I go thru phases, too. Been realizing lately that I haven’t read a historical in *ages* when I used to read them all the time. And I’m starting to get in the mood for one…maybe. LOL

Thank you, Karen! You’re very right about it being “reading season.” I also love to curl up with a book on rainy days. They just scream “Stay in, make a cup of tea, & read!” :drinkonme

So looking forward to the release of Must Love Vampires. I haven’t had the pleasure of reading any of Susan Andersen’s work but, the way you talk about her makes me want to run right out and pick up a bunch of her books. I am a big fan of humor in books. :drinkonme

Thank you so much, Raquel!
Oh, Susan is fabulous! If you can, try some of her “Baby” books. (Baby, I’m Yours is the most memorable for me, but that may be because it’s the first of hers I ever read.) But more recently, Hot & Bothered really stood out for me. And there were bunches in between, of course! lol

FBF! I thought I’d read Susan Andersen before, but after I googled her book list, I see, in fact, I have not. And if *she* inspired *you,* well, I’m thinking I’ll like her. :elvira

Oooh, how could you have missed her. It’s okay—I’ll get you caught up!
See my above comment to Raquel, but if you’re just now re-reading the “Chicks with Sticks” trilogy, I highly suggest you read Susan’s Hot & Bothered. I was inspired by its hero, which is how Zack’s hockey team got its name. But you will absolutely LOVE the inspiration, trust me! :lol

:dancingelvis FBF and a happy one. Gearing up for some really good reading in the very near future. Maybe our book club should have a vegas theme for this book. Fun!

Hey, Jen! Street Team packages just went out, so you’ll be getting goodies for your book club soon. And if you need more of anything (like doorknob hangers, which I only included one of, but would happily send for everybody, if they wanted them!), just let me know.
Hey, you can throw any kind of theme party you want, if you’re talking up MUST LOVE VAMPIRES! I give you lots to work with. :dancer

FBF Never having been to Vegas I’ll have to just read about it. LOL Thanks for the chance.
Vegas seems to be a great place for a vampire. Isn’t it night all day long there? At least, inside the casinos?
