A FRIDAY FUNNY
MR. RIGHT REJECTION LETTER
Dear [insert rejectee’s name here]:
I regret to inform you that you have been eliminated from further contention as Mr. Right. As you are probably aware, the competition was excee3dingly tough, and dozens of well-qualified candidates such as yourself also failed to make the final cut. I will, however, keep your name on file should an opening become available.
So that you may find better success in your future romantic endeavors, please allow me to offer the following reason(s) you were disqualified from the competition:
[Check all that apply.]
___ Your breasts are bigger than mine.
___ Your last name is objectionable. I cannot imagine taking it, hyphenating it, or subjecting my children to it.
___ The fact that our finest dining experience to date has been at McDonald’s reveals a thriftiness that I find unappealing.
___ Your inadvertent admission that you “buy condoms by the truckload” indicates that you may be interested in me for something other than my personality.
___ You failed the 20 Question Rule. i.e. I asked you 20 questions about yourself before you asked me one about myself.
___ Your legs are skinnier than mine. If you can FIT into my pants, then you can’t GET into my pants.
___ You failed the credit check.
___ Your “Putting on a few, aren’t you, babe?” comment, given the 9-months-pregnant size of your own beer gut, was inappropriate.
___I find your inability to fix my car extraordinarily unappealing.
___ The fact that your apartment has been condemned reveals an inherent slovenliness that I fear is unbreakable.
___ The phrase “my mother” has popped up far too often in conversation.
___ You still live with your parents.
___ You mention your ex-girlfriend’s name more than you mention mine.
___ Three words: size does matter.
Sincerely,
[Your name here]

I’m on the fence about Adele. Some of her songs annoy me, but am suddenly all on board with “Rolling in the Deep.”

Think she’s appealing to me right now cuz I just finished the Charleston book. It’s a Southern thing & she’s got that deep Southern tone to her voice. :dancingelvis

Love how today’s funnies had a theme, then I thought maybe they always do and that shows how much I’m thinking by Friday. Hmmm, will have to remember to see if next week’s has a theme.

LOL Sometimes they do, Anne, but not always. Sometimes I just post random things that make me chuckle. This week, I was really just searching for a cute graphic to decorate the rejection letter, but I stumbled across so many “Waiting for Mr. Right” funnies I just HAD to use them. :jack
Next week… who knows? *g*

I used to have a “no hair longer than mine” rule but since my hair was down to my hips at the time, I thought it was an easy one to follow.

Mine was “can’t wear more make-up than I do!” Hey, it was the 80s/height of hair bands. Girls *needed* hair/make-up dating rules! :fanglips

“___I find your inability to fix my car extraordinarily unappealing.” I made a old boyfriend feel really bad when I told him I could save him $25 and change his oil in his car for him. Momma’s boy went home a few months later and then I went out with his roommate. :vamp2
FBF!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend. We just had a major bridge/highway shut down for an indefinite period of time because they found a crack in the structure (even with this knowledge I still feel safer going over that bridge than the others). Which leaves all the north/south traffic and now the east/west traffic using one big bridge through a major city. There is one other bridge but it goes into downtown Louisville and can’t handle much traffic (4 very narrow lanes).
Oh and did I mention there is road construction going on right on the other side of the bridge and they will be closing the east bound lanes for several weeks. And the one main bridge is also going to have a lane closure on it Monday morning.
