A FRIDAY FUNNY
Well, this cracked me up, so you know I have to share…
And a few extras to keep you chuckling…
FREE BOOK FRIDAY
This week’s Free Book Friday offering is The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter, Book 1 of her “Lords of the Underworld” series. (And it’s really good, by the way. :winkwink )
To enter the giveaway for this book, simply leave a comment to today’s post that includes the code FBF—for “Free Book Friday,” of course—to let me know you’re interested in the drawing. (U.S. residents only for the prize, please, but everyone is welcome to chat.)
Winner will be announced during our Happy Sunday post on…well, you know, Sunday. Winner is responsible for contacting me with her mailing information—i.e. I will not be contacting you—so be sure to check back in or you might not even know you won! :whhhat (If prize isn’t claimed within 7 days, another name may be drawn or item may be tossed back into the goody bag to be re-used for a future giveaway.)

Happy Friday. I love “Lords of the Underworld” series by Gena Showalter and I own them so don’ count me in the contest.
I loved the video. Why does cursing sound so much better with an Irish accent?

Heidi says:
Sorry you had a long week, Stacie. This is definitely a good book to start the series with. Of course, I’m a little anal-retentive when it comes to reading connected series in order, so maybe that’s just me. :cantputdown

Wish I had a cyber-salute emoticon on here right now…
But I will keep your hubby & his entire team (is that the right term? *g*) in my prayers. God bless them—literally—for all they do for us. But here’s hoping they’re home again really, really soon! :brava

Love your Friday funnies, Heidi!
On March 18, 2011 at 9:45 am
Heidi says:
Thanks, Leigh. I love them, too…they give me a chance to share my odd sense of humor with the world. And, really, it’s just no fun to laugh your butt off over a cartoon if you can’t run to someone else & say, “Look!” then snicker all over again. :beerlaugh

I loved the video. I’m currently looking into trips to Alaska for my parents and can really relate.
Do you know the name of the singing or comedy group that was?
On March 18, 2011 at 10:46 am
Heidi says:
I think the group is named somewhere in the video, either introduced verbally at the beginning or printed at the end. I may have to watch it again to see…gosh, what a trial. :Bigthumbs
On March 18, 2011 at 4:07 pm
Heidi says:
Anne~ I was wrong; the name wasn’t mentioned in the video clip, but it was on the original YouTube posting.
The group is called Fascinating Aida, a British all-female comedy trio. (No kidding, huh? :beerlaugh ) Here’s their website, if you’re interested: http://www.fascinatingaida.co.uk/
