Hidden Heir Giveaway #2

I know I can sometimes be slow in getting around to things.  Putting prizes in the mail…posting information in a timely manner…following through on promises…

But when I do finally get around to it, I go all-out.  Which is why you’re getting two HIDDEN HEIR giveaways this month instead of only one.  Ha!  Take that, oh, ye of little faith!

So here we go again.  Here are the details for HER LITTLE SECRET, HIS HIDDEN HEIR Giveaway #2″:

PRIZES

Prize #1 — Why, an autographed copy of HER LITTLE SECRET, HIS HIDDEN HEIR, of course.  You may already have a copy, but this one is going to be signed, for heaven’s sake.  That makes it about a thousand times better, right? :eyelashes

Prize #2Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory on DVD. One of my favorites!  I just love Gene Wilder, the Oompa-Loompas, the bright colors, & all those great songs!

Prize #3 — A batch of goodies baked by Yours Truly.  Yes, it’s true, I will bake for you.  And better yet, I’ll let you pick what I bake for you.  Winner will get to choose from four options:  Chocolate Peanut Butter Pinwheels; Banana Nut Cookies; E.T. Cookies (chocolate cookie with Reese’s Pieces); or Coconut Mounds cookies.

QUESTIONS

Question #1HER LITTLE SECRET, HIS HIDDEN HEIR is my [X]th published novel.  All publishers, anthologies included. (Hint:  It’s a bigger number than last week. *g*)

Question #2 — What color is Vanessa’s dress in the first love scene between her & Marc?  (Hint:  It’s the same dress she wears to dinner that evening. :inbed )

Question #3 — What minor typo appears in the book that you guys don’t seem to mind, but that kind of makes me want to scream? :smack

Bonus Question — Which promotional item from The Sugar Shack, offered at the end of the book, would you most like to have?

RULES

Rule #1 — To enter, leave a comment to today’s post with your answers to the above questions.

Rule #2 — U.S. residents only.  (For the prize, please. Anyone is welcome to play along, but if you’re outside the country, let me know. :howyoudoin )

Rule #3 — You have until Sunday, July 24th to post your comment/entry.  (Don’t worry, I’ll come back & check, even after newer posts go up. :allgood )

Rule #4 — Winner will be announced during our Happy Sunday post on July 24th, so be sure to check back.  Winner is responsible for contacting me with her mailing information—i.e. I will not be contacting you.  If prize isn’t claimed within 7 days, another name may be drawn or a re-posting of the contest held.

Word of the Week: Facebook MinuteAn elongated and obscure period of time spent distracted on Facebook when the original intent was to merely check your messages.

My plan for today was to regale you with details about my weekend yard sale excursion.  Something along the lines of I Survived the 100 Mile Yard Sale & All I Got Was This Lousy Pile of Junk. :kittylaugh

However, it is currently 9 p.m.  I have been running all day.  A couple of minor, unexpected crises have cropped up that must be dealt with.  And I’m still tired from the yard sale, let alone today’s events, so I honestly don’t have the energy to go into detail about much of anything right now. :sleeping

So…

Y’all are gonna have to cut me some slack here & let me have a lazy day.  Which actually won’t be lazy at all…it involves more running, both related & unrelated to the minor crises.  Le grande sigh. :spikey   And fair warning that I probably won’t get around to a yard sale recap until next week now, since the rest of this week’s posts are already written & scheduled.  Just…bear with me, okay?  You know I’ll be back & all kinds of chatty once I get a few things out of the way. :umbrella

And in the meantime, I shall leave you with some funnies that I bookmarked for the lead-up to HER LITTLE SECRET, HIS HIDDEN HEIR‘s release…but somehow forgot about.  Whoopsie. :bart

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, everyone! It’s back to being kind of warm outside, so I hope you’re all finding a way to stay cool while you enjoy this wonderful weekend.

As for me, I AM HAPPY to be finished with my “Dynasties:  The Kincaids” novel for Harlequin Desire.  Huge relief to have that puppy finished & know I’m no longer running behind. (This is always a good thing, & I never, ever know if I’m going to be on time until I actually am…if that makes sense. :spikey )

I AM HAPPY I got a bit of a brainstorm concerning the plot of my next Harlequin Desire, too.  (Though I’m going to sleep on that one a while, just to make sure it really is a good idea & not something dreamed up during a post-deadline haze.)

I AM HAPPY I once again survived the 100 Mile Yard Sale.  It gets harder every year, though, especially when it’s hot.  I do not handle heat well.  I think it’s my delicate Southern Belle disposition. (Will be filling you in later with the deets. :cupcake )

I AM HAPPY that there are some really lovely people in the world, who are friendly & more than willing to help when you have a minor emergency while trekking around on the 100 Mile Yard sale.  Even though it wasn’t their problem & they really didn’t have to.  (I know—cryptic much? :que   Just trust me; they saved my butt.)

And last but not least, I AM HAPPY with my yard sale treasures.  Not much; nothing worthy of Antiques Roadshow, that’s for sure.  But I found some fun stuff, which really does make me happy. And a few things for the kittehs, which makes them happy, too. :kittyplay

All right, your turn!  What are you happy about or grateful for this fine July weekend?  Go ahead & share… :picnic
