Pot o’ Gold Cocktail

1 oz. Irish whiskey
4 oz. ginger ale
orange twist
gold sugar glitter
slice of orange

In a chilled glass, run the orange slice along the rim of the glass and then gently rim the glass with gold sugar glitter.
Add whiskey, then top with ginger ale.
Garnish with orange rind twist.

Well, you know what today is…it’s time to share those parts of our lives that we’re thankful for from the past week & show a little gratitude for how lucky we truly are. :kisses:

So this week, I AM HAPPY that I remembered to cancel the three months of free HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, & Starz that I got for signing up with DirecTV. It’s funny how I was disappointed to lose them, even though the entire time I had them, I don’t think I watched them more than once or twice. Seriously, after recording half a dozen movies that I had on my other (DishNetwork) DVRs & wanted to reclaim, they were a complete snooze.  I don’t know why anyone would actually pay for any of those channels. :drunkhulk:

Anyway…

I AM HAPPY that the Physical Therapy for my knee seems to be going well, & everyone there is a blast. I so dreaded having to go three times a week at first, but now I only dread having to wake up, get dressed, & leave the house—actually being there is kind of fun. :dancin:

I AM HAPPY, too, that I’ve discovered a nifty new piece of exercise equipment, thanks to PT: the Recumbent Stepper. Never thought I could enjoy a “StairMaster,” but this thing is a blast!  You sit & pedal, but it’s not a bike. And I want one—I want one BAD. Unfortunately, they’re kind of expensive.

Kind of? Ha!  Try very…as in thousands of dollars.  I’ve alternately threaten to steal it or begged them to give me at the end of my time there, but they don’t seem to keen on that, so I may have to settle for waiting until I win the lottery. :potofgold:

All of that—with the exception of not being gifted with a recumbent stepper :caterpillar: —is keeping me busy and happy.  :bagpipes:
