Happy Sunday
Changing things up today from our customary Happy Sunday formula, because I found this poem in a magazine recently & wanted to share. It’s an interesting concept & definitely falls under the classifications of kindness & gratitude, which is always our Happy Sunday focus. :smiley15
How Rich Are You?
Put a penny in a jar
For every kindly act.
For every smile that leaves your lips,
For words of warmth and tact.
Take a penny out each time
You do an unkind deed.
One for gossip, one for lies,
One for spite and greed.
Put in, take out, for just a week.
The day will not be far
When you can count how very rich…
Or truly poor you are.
I’ve started doing this, & am happy to say that I’ve only put pennies in so far, not taken any out. :smiley30
Of course, it’s also been a good week, with no signs of PMS or letting hunger get the best of my temper. :smiley31 When that day comes, my penny jar may not look so good. :smiley10

Heidi–for the work you do for animals, that jar should be full of $100 bills. :smiley34

That’s such a nice idea. Not sure how well this would work with me right now since I seem to be a roller coaster of emotions and I snap at the oddest of times.
Peri menopause…gotta love it.
