I’m definitely not a hoarder. I throw stuff away all the time. Most times it’s hubby’s stuff so I can make more room for my stuff, but I still throw things away. lol
img27 That’s what MMD does. She complains that *I* need to get rid of stuff, but her stuff is just as bad. And she will get rid of my stuff over her own—I have to watch her like a damn hawk. img28
I have trouble throwing things away. Well, I give everything salvageable to Goodwill or the annual animal shelter yard sale, but it’s almost like I have to be *ready* before I can part with an item. img43
In my defense, the majority of stuff I have stacked up & in boxes is promo stuff, author copies, TBR books… NOT piles of newspapers or garbage or true junk. Yeah, I have a few junk piles I need to sort thru & deal with, but my stuff is more of the clutter type than filth. img34
I know when to throw things away, but there are just some items that are really hard for me to part because of sentimental reasons. So I’m in the middle I guess?
I definitely have sentimentality issues. But I think my feelings may run a little too deep. I mean, I have no problem with keeping something that belonged to my dad FOREVER. But what about some random Beanie Baby that’s just so cute & makes me think, “No one will take care of him the way I will; he should probably stay with me.” img26
love the cartoons!!! and definitely agree with Hollie’s comment!!
hard to throw anything away that might have a future use in a yet to be made craft item. i don’t keep garbage or old newspapers but do have a ton of ‘stuff’ img22
I am *so* in the category of “but what if I need it later?” I read somewhere that if you haven’t used something in 4 (or 7?) years, you never will & should get rid of it.
But…but… You have no idea how many things I buy/have that I don’t know if I’ll use right away, but danged if the day doesn’t come that I need something &—bam!—I’ve already got it.
What do you say about that, organizational gurus—HUH? img33

That’s right! I like that story & think I’ll adopt a similar motto.
Um…a writer can’t be a hoarder—it’s all research & supplies! How does that sound? img44
