FBF. I wish there were more yard sales here. :happysun :patrick3 :eeee

  2. Donna says:

FBF. I much prefer going to yard sales than holding one. OY!

Have fun. Hope you find lots of good stuff. Stay cool. :cool

  3. Anne says:

I never go to yard sales. I went to a couple a few years ago, but I decided it wasn’t worth the effort to dig through the “crap” to find a treasure. Same thing with shopping, in and out no looking around for other possible great deals.

    I think I wore myself out when I was a pre-teen.

I love yard sales, estate sales, church sales, etc.
I also love the Fabio cutout. :lolol

  6. Mary M says:

    :lolol LOVE the Fabio standup!

If I even think about yard sales, I direct myself to my TBR to organize it, and the thought passes!

I’m glad you guys are liking the funnies. I love yard sales…if I’m in the mood. Sadly, today didn’t work out. :happysad

Oh, the weather is perfect. Wet & cool instead of sunny & HOT/HUMID, which I hate. But every little thing that could go wrong did go wrong so I decided to skip it this year. Still kind of wish I were out there, but I don’t have the energy to deal. :Cukoo

Oh how I wish I lived by you. I love yard sales. The only problem with those around here is that most of the stuff is baby or kids stuff. I have no need for that…
If you get to go out have loads of fun for us. :patrick3

  9. Colleen C. says:

Great funnies! It has been some time since I went to a yard sale… near us the dumb HOA tells you on yard sale day ( they pick a specific day they will allow it ) that you have to pay them to be allowed to try to sell your stuff in your own yard. :Cukoo

    FBF! Have a wonderful weekend!

  10. Mary Kirkland says:

Happy FBF! Love the selling of that Fabio cardboard cutout..don’t know anyone who would buy it but it’s funny.

A friend had a yard sale last month and he’s 84 years old…very set in his ways and wouldn’t come down on any of his prices. so he didn’t sell anything…LOL

  11. Tammy Beck says:

FBF. The temps & humidity here are to high to even think of yard sales. I just want to sit under the a/c & drink something cold. :hotstuff

  12. Hollie says:

I wish I lived by you too!! I have been to a couple of mile long garage sales..but never 100 miles!! :Cukoo

  13. Lindsay W says:

    Happy FBF!

I’ve never been a yard sale person.

  14. Ruth Chestnut says:

FBF. Not a big fan of yard sales but I love flea markets. I try to go once a year to one in the Poconos her in Pa. They sell some neat stuff. :eeee

Yard sales arent my thing but others in my family really like them. And they find good stuff, I never see anything.

  17. Janeth Rombardo says:

Sorry for the late reply, it’s been a busy weekend! As to the adjunct point it is a shame that your friend was not allowed to accept the award. Good teaching should be rewarded, regardless of one’s “official” title. I suspect it was a matter of pride and expectations on the university’s part the school might anticipate the public expecting a tenured professor to win the award, because shouldn’t someone with a doctorate be a better teacher than someone with a master’s degree (or, a full professor be a better teacher than an adjunct)?
