Runaway Bride’s Big Baby Secret
Handbag designer Juliet Zaccaro should be walking down the aisle, so why is she running out of the church instead? Because she’s just found out she’s pregnant, and not by her cruel, distant fiancé!
Now it’s up to private investigator Reid McCormack to bring her home. But once he finds her, he’ll make sure she doesn’t go back to her fiancé—especially since the baby she’s carrying might just be Reid’s.
Even as Juliet denies their explosive chemistry, can Reid convince her that there’s more between them than a baby bump?

Manuscript Monday
One of my favorite parts of a story is the beginning. I just love starting a new book!
Both introducing & getting to know a fresh set of characters…
Getting to kick things off with a great opening, whether it’s sexy or funny or intriguing—or a mix of all three…
And being able to work on the building of awesome sexual tension.
But sometimes things don’t come together exactly the way I expect or have maybe pictured in my mind. For the most part, stories come together pretty much the way they need to, whether it’s what I planned down to the letter or not. And frankly, sometimes not coming together quite how I’d planned because of unintentional flashes of brilliance ends up being the best thing that could possibly happen for the story.
Which is exactly what happened with the story I’m currently working on. I knew exactly how I wanted it to start, & all was going well, but even as I was well ensconced in Chapter 1, I started to feel like something was…missing.
Just a little something. Just a zing of brilliance that could transform a good romance opening to a great one.
And then it hit me—right in the middle of the scene I was writing:
The brunette–who he knew to be Lizzie Foster herself from the name tag on her pink and white striped apron—flashed him a bright, friendly smile.
“Good morning. Welcome to The Sweet Spot—what can I get for you?”
It surprised him that his first thought was: naked.
Ah, yes. That’s the moment a light bulb went off & the story took a genius turn—if I do say so myself. :scorpios The moment the sexual tension between the hero & heroine became blatantly obvious & I knew this was going to be a fabulous story after all.
And you know what? It is. I am loving this story & just know you’re going to, too.
I can’t wait to share it with you! :walk

Happy Sunday
Happy Sunday, my Darlings! I hope you’re having a wonderful week, with lots to be grateful for. Be sure to share with us so we can all do a happy dance together, okay? :walk
This was my birthday week, so I’ve certainly got lots to be thankful for.
I AM HAPPY that it snowed on my birthday. No, I’m not fan of shoveling or the cold temperatures that usually accompanies the fluffy stuff, but I do love when it’s a “blanket of white” all beautiful & not yet tracked through by cars & footsteps. But I’ll be okay with it if we don’t get any more until Christmas. :cold
I AM HAPPY that I finished the first draft of my Top Sekrit work-in-progress the night before my birthday. It ran longer than I expected, so it was taking longer to complete than I expected. But finishing it on my birthday eve was not only delightful, it allowed me to sleep like a baby that night & veg out a little the next day instead of having to work on my birthday. hb
And last but certainly not least, I AM HAPPY with the small gifties I got for my birthday. Some of them I bought for myself, others Madame Mommy Dearest gave me.
If you saw Tuesday’s post, then you already know about my birthday booty. :blowitout If not, then I’ll recap. This year’s birthday theme was perfume & lip gloss. I’m not sure how much they’ll help me in a Zombie Apocalypse, but I am very well-stocked now with Pepsi- &
Coke-flavored lip balms & Kitty Girl perfume. Whoo-hoo! Two of my favorite things, & they’re going to keep me happy for a long time to come. :gobble
So how about you? Whether it was your birthday week (or month :cake ) or not, what are you happy about this week? We’re ready to do a happy turkey dance with you to celebrate! :walk
