Happy Sunday
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Don’t get too excited…I can’t promise I’m back-back just yet. Still recovering. Still taking it easy. Still doing a lot of napping. And being at the computer actually hurts, so I don’t turn it on very often, & when I do, try to get on & off as quickly as possible.
So this week, I think you can guess that I AM HAPPY my surgery went well. More on that later—you know I’ll give you the whole long, detailed, gory recap eventually :bat —but suffice to say I survived! And sometimes, just that is enough to be happy about, right? :coffin
I AM HAPPY that my agent & editors have all been so great about cutting me some slack so I could actually have the surgery. Yes, I have a book due. Yes, this is setting me back quite a bit. But from the moment I told them what was going on, they’ve been fabulous about saying, “Go. Do. Take care of yourself. Don’t worry about it. We’ll deal with everything later.” So thank you very much, y’all! You’re making my recovery so less stressful than it could (should?) be.
Okay, that about does it for me this week. Keeping it short & sweet so I can go back to bed.

Okay, you can tell I’ve spent way too long with Mistress Heidi as my alter-ego… I totally thought you meant power-power, as in “I AM IN CHARGE! Mwahahahaha!” Not, gosh, I’m glad we have electricity. :lol
But, yes, power is good. I hate it when ours goes out. I know folks used to live by candlelight & I’m totally spoiled by being able to switch the lights on & off, but…yeah, I’m spoiled & want to stay that way. :show

I’m happy that my brother, while still in the hospital with an upper respiratory infection…seems to be getting better and should be back home in a couple of days.

Im happy that you are starting to feel a little better Heidi!
Im happy that I’ve read MLV!! It is such a good book!! I was laughing so much that I woke my kids up!
Im happy that tomorrow is Halloween and I can finally wear my costume to work! ( a witch..i know that no one will be surprised!)
Im glad that hopefully Im on the downhill side of having the flu…still out on that…Thankful for nyquil that’s for sure!

I am happy I had the pain pills and water at my beside this morning… Not a good night with shoulder… You would think after nearly three months of therapy, I would be getting better….oh well I will keep plugging along…
Glad you are slowly coming back into yourself Heidi.. It takes time and your body tells you when and what you can do. Don’t take it too quick.. .Just let your body heal on it’s own time…

I am happy because I was told that IF I ever managed to get pregnant there was no way I’d carry beyond the first trimester let alone to term.
They were right about the to term part, but today my lovely daughter Reagan turns six and her big brother Johnny turns 8. They are both my absolute miracles and the reason my heart beats.
Also, I am glad that other people are getting snow dumped on them for a change instead of us here in the snowbelt of western New York. LOL

I’m happy for Pinterest. Yeah, if your not on there you should be. O-M-G!!!! I have so many neat ideas that I might someday get to try. I’ve already a couple of things, and today I made one of the recipes I found on Pinterest and OH YUM!!! (that’s a quote from B’Girl). Mac and Cheese that is to die for!! I will never make mac & cheese the “old” way again.
I’m also happy that all 3 of my kids are doing well in school. The oldest in college, the middle one hitting high school and B’girl switching schools I was a bit nervous, but all’s well and that makes me one very happy mommy!
