RIP James Garner
As you may have heard by now, legendary actor James Garner passed away over the weekend.
I can’t tell you how sad this makes me. :may38
I’ve always loved James Garner. Some of my best memories are of sitting with my dad watching Maverick repeats and The Rockford Files. We were both big fans. Then later, seeing him in Murphy’s Romance, show up in the Maverick remake as Mel Gibson’s father, & even in The Notebook. I don’t think there was ever a role he played that I didn’t enjoy.
And I got the feeling he was a really great guy, you know? Not just as the characters he played, but in real life, too.
I, for one, will miss knowing he’s out there in the world. :may7

I was so sad when I heard the news. I loved his acting in the shows he was in. It’s sad that a lot of the actors that we grew up watching are getting older and passing away.

I think I’ve been a little in love with him forever. Such a neat guy. I’ve seen so many tidbits about him that I never heard before (2x purple heart recipient, huge supporter of the civil rights during the 60s even taking part in marches).
My favorite movie with him in it was Victor Victoria.
