New Year’s resolutions
I’m not usually one to make New Year’s Resolutions, since I’ve learned the hard way that I feel like crud when I don’t keep them.
But this year, I thought I’d make a few that I think I can keep.
Spend more time watching movies & TV. There are about three hours each day that I’m spending away from the television, & those sitcoms & DVDs aren’t going to watch themselves. I’m determined to do better in the New Year.
Adopt more stray cats. They say eight is enough, & I’m not there yet, so I’ve got my work cut out for me. :kitty
Stay home more. The once or twice a month I actually get dressed & go out is excessive, don’t you think? I’m determined to stop letting people pressure me into doing things like going for groceries or to the doctor, & to become more of a homebody.
Write less. I’m averaging two, maybe two & a half books a year. Who do I think I am—Danielle Steel? I’ve gotta learn to slow down & pace myself. :sleep
Exercise less. I’m tired of trying to stay in shape & watch after my heart health. My internal organs are at least 29 years old now, it’s time they grew up & started taking care of themselves!
Take up more bad habits, like drinking, smoking, & cussing. They look like so much fun & I really feel like I’m missing out.
Become more selfish. I’m sick of being friendly & kind & generous. It’s time to look out for A-Number 1. That’s right—look out, world, it’s all about me now! :yougogirl
Spend more time stalking my hunky neighbor. The binoculars are still in the window, & the restraining order has been lifted, so it’s time to get back down to business. :stalker
So how about you? What are some of your resolutions for the New Year, & do you think you’ll be able to keep them? :party

Glad the restraining order was lifted.
I plan to exercise less and eat more chocolate. That’s about it.

And glad you enjoyed my list of NY’s resolutions. I just think the end of the year is a time for serious reflection & I’m really going to try to buckle down do better with all of these issues this year. I hope you can stick with yours, too. :chocolate

When you really sit down & delve inside yourself, you can find a lot of things that could stand to change. I’m just hoping I’m strong enough to carry thru on these this year.
You, too…the consumption of even more chocolate is sure to be challenge, but I’m going to keep a good thought for you. :chocolate

I usually make [and most likely break] the same ones. But I need a few humorous ones as well. Hmmm.

Me, too, unfortunately. If I do them at all, I try to make them small & actually achievable. More like goals than “resolutions.” :coffee

I do plan on not being so nice…and I have started already! Someone came to our door to sell us something…..told him NO and Go Away…and when he started to ask another question..I screamed NO and slammed the door in his face!! so It was good for me….and gave the family a good laugh! A win/win!!
Happy New Years Eve Eve!!!!! :blowkiss

Ha! Had to do that once. Felt a little guilty afterward, but at least they left us alone for a while. And sometimes we just hide till they go away. :stalker

Your resolutions are always the best! For me it’s going to be simple….cuss out more stupid drivers (like the one who tried to run over me today and then flipped me off when I honked at him to let him know that I did not want to be hit.
Knit more (cause I haven’t done enough this week–yay for being sick and having sick kids). That’s actually one I hope to keep. I’m having so much fun and I’m going to add the purl stitch to my repertoire and maybe even the rib stitch before the year is out (saw this very cute tank top and I just have to make me one!).
Otherwise that’s about it. Anytime I make those resolutions they are broke before midnight of January 1st.
