National Book Week
August 20 – 26 is National Book Week, so let’s talk books!
What are you reading right now?
What are you looking forward to reading next or in the near future?
For National Book Week, folks play a fun game where you grab the book closest to you, turn to page 56, & share the 5th sentence. So let’s do that, & then let’s do even more.
What is your favorite book of all time?
What is your most recent favorite book, or one you added to your Keeper shelf/list recently?
What book have you never read, but want to read or keep thinking you should read soon?
What is the 5th sentence on page 56 of the book nearest you?
What is the 7th sentence on page 13 of the book you’re currently reading?
(Because if you’re anything like I am “currently reading” & “nearest me” are two completely different things. LOL)
What book are you most looking forward to buying/reading soon?
(Your answer should have something do with…oh, I don’t know…vampires or Las Vegas or a certain Mistress of a certain Dungeon. But that’s just a suggestion. :littlevamp )

Nearest book: Just finished Dark & Day by Israel Grey.
“He pulled the covers tightly over his shoulder.” :flash
Currently reading: Down From Cascom Mountain by Ann Joslin Williams.
“They headed toward light, areas that opened into clearings of yellow grasses and rises of granite, gray stud lichen crunching under their boots.”
Favorite: I’m going with Forever Amber by Kathleen Winsor.
“Forever Amber is the other great historical romance (reference to Gone With the Wind), outselling every other American novel of the 1940s—despite being banned in Boston for its sheer sexiness.”
Recent favorite: Recent keepers are Working Stiff and Scared Stiff by Annelise Ryan. They are absolutely hilarious murder mysteries. Frozen Stiff coming soon.
:lol
I really should read To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
Looking forward to Must Love Vampires, of course.

Guess I need to get busy. I haven’t read anything in a while. I have several that I need to get on my iPad/Nook app but I’m slacking on doing it. And since all my books are on my iPad/Nook app it will be very hard for me to answer the last two. *sigh* I’m a bad dungeon darling. I can answer a couple of questions though.
Fav book: Knock Me For a Loop (Really!!)
Want to read but haven’t: Pride and Prejudice (yeah, I know)
Looking forward to: Gosh, I can’t think of the title, but there are Vampires and it takes place in Vegas and I think it involves twin sisters and a couple of vampires. I don’t think the vampires sparkle either.

He he. You win the prize of best answers of the day…I mean, you dropped the titles of two of my books & I’m totally biased. :elvis
But I’m wish you on the slow reading/falling behind thing. If life would just slow the hell down & stop driving me crazy, I might be able to pick up a book. Or, I don’t know…write one? :littlevamp
