We celebrate in October and give thanks for the Harvest… We have the same thing, Turkey and all the trimings. We usually cook a Ham along with the Turkey.
It dates back from about 1604 ,and was celebrated as Thanksgiving by Samuel De Champlain, landed his succesful voayage to Canada. It was celebrated at different times for different reasons, but never had an official day.
An actual day not celebrated, until our Parliment, that is our Federal goverment, gave it an official day in 1957, of the 2nd Monday each Octover. In fact I was offical the same year. Now in my family that was a reason to celebrate,
