Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, my Darlings! So what’s been going on this week in your little corner of the world?  And what’s been putting the happy in your dancin’? :dancin:

This week I AM HAPPY that I finally got a bunch of bookmobile books shelved.  Yes, it’s true—I’ve borrowed a couple boxes worth of library books that I brought with me during The Move. Thankfully, I’ve got a truly awesome bookmobile librarian who happens to trust me, knows where I live, & doesn’t give me official due dates.  He keeps track of the books I borrow, of course, & we have this deal where, if he ever needs a particular title back for any reason (like if I’ve had it way too long or he gets a special request for it), he’ll contact me & I’ll return it post haste.  But unless & until that happens, he lets me keep stuff pretty much as long as I want…which gives me such great freedom to read what I want, when I want, without the pressure of having to return things by a certain time. :batcard:

Ironically, since The Move I’ve actually managed to get through quite a few borrowed books while the poor bookmobile has been out of commission. :rip:  So I’ve got a big box ready to return…but quite a few yet to get through.  And there’s a great set of shelves in the basement of the new house, so ever since I moved in, I’ve wanted to get the bookmobile books lined up & organized so I can check them out at a glance.  And this week, I got it done!  Yay—I love it! :carving:

Next up on the To Do list:  get my own hardbacks & trade-size paperbacks shelved. :broomin:

I AM HAPPY, too, with some of my recent literary choices.  I just finished Quarterback Draw by Jaci Burton (always hot & enjoyable), The Dead Room by Heather Graham (& want to read The Death Dealer, its sequel, soon), & am now reading Hostage by Kay Hooper.  I actually intended to start Haunted, but after glancing at the list of her Bishop/Special Crime Unit books in the back, I realized Hostage came first.  I don’t really care about reading them in order, but since I’ve got both, what the heck. :bubbles:

I AM HAPPY that we got a free preview weekend of HBO & Cinemax last weekend, so I was able to record a few more wanna-see movies. This time, I grabbed Deadpool, The Peanuts Movie, Krampus, & Victor Frankenstein.  I most want to watch Deadpool (duh!) but think Krampus will be fun to watch closer to Christmas. :stinky:

If you’ve seen any of them, I’d love to know what you thought—minus spoilers, of course. :vampire:

And finally, I AM HAPPY it’s Fall.  Okay, I don’t love cold weather, but it’s not freezing yet, & everything else about the season is fabulous!  I love the changing of the leaves, the pumpkins & butternut squash, the Halloween everything…  It’s just a FUN time of year, you know. :happyhalloween:

So how about you?  What are you happy about, thankful for, enjoying this week that you’d like to share?  Whatever it is, please take a minute to let us know, because we’d really like to know.

:cathat:

The week has been busy. I started the Fall cleanout, stared with the Fridge. It’s amazing what you think you are going to use again and never do. Lots of half jars of this and that went to the trash :stinky: Today I am going to work on the china cabinet. Everything needs a good dusting and polishing. I am off to Florida a week from Tuesday, so I want everything nice and clean before I go. Then I won’t have so much to come back to in November.. :dancin:

Ugh, that is such a chore. :broomin:

Have a great time in Florida, though! You’ll have a blast…& it’s sure to be warmer down there than here—& where you are. :bubbles:

I’ve had two mom and son dates this weekend with my 13 yr old. I love these times. Friday we went and ate at Applebee’s and then just hung out at the mall. Saturday we went to the movies and saw Miss Peregrin’s House For Peculiar Children. :dancin:

Oh, yes, those times are special. :zombiedance:

So what did you think of the movie?

      • Tammy says:

We both loved it! For some reason it reminds me of Jim Carey’s Unfortunate Events. It’s not for small children that gets scared easily or has nightmares. Luckily this not a problem for my son. He’s like me..we love action, horror, and paranormal types of movies. :sexywitch:

I liked that one well enough. Don’t know if I’ll run out to see Peculiar Children, but I would like to see it eventually. It looks interesting & unique. :vampire:
