Happy Sunday
Happy Sunday, everybody!
I am in such a good mood this week, positively bursting with blessings & gratitude, & I can only hope the rest of you are feeling the same. Are you ready to share all the great stuff going on with you this week? :butterfly:
As for moi, I AM HAPPY that I finally know what’s really going on with my right knee. Yes, it involves surgery to repair torn meniscus, drain fluid, & even out some roughness on part of the bone that’s been damaged, but even all of that is better than limping around for years not knowing what’s going on & if it will ever end. :gum:
I AM HAPPY that—even with the knee issue—I’ve managed to get back to the Torture Cycle much more regularly over the past week. (The doctor said the damage to my knee is done; regular activity isn’t going to cause any more problems, & he’ll fix it all while he’s in there. )
And on the Torture Cycle, I AM HAPPY to be watching The Wolverine. It’s been a while since I’ve seen anything X-Men-related or even anything with Huge Jackman in it. And now I’m wondering why the heck I let it go so long! I’ve always had a rather large crush on Wolverine (even back in his pre-Jackman animated days, I’m a little embarrassed to admit), but have you seen this man lately? He spends a lot of time shirtless & wet in this movie, & I couldn’t be happier. :beehappy:
Finally, I AM HAPPY that my knee surgery is already scheduled for the first week of June. I know what’s going on, what’s going to happen, & the wheels have been put in motion to get me all set up for the procedure. You wouldn’t think I’d be so eager to go under the knife, but I really am. The sooner I get it done, the sooner the pain will stop, right? And also the sooner I can get my first injection of whatever lubricant or foam they use to cushion the bones & re-build the cartilage; they don’t do that until two months after the surgery, but I’m guessing it’s really going to help, so I can’t wait for that, either. :swing:
Your turn—what has you smiling this week? What’s making you feel blessed? :flowers:
Take a minute to share your happiness & gratitudes with us so we can all say Thank You together! :alice:

I am so happy for you that your knee issues will be resolved. It’s hell walking around in pain…
It’s been quiet week for me this past week.. Although it has a had a few frustrating moments with brother’s, but then it’s just another week in my life… :seymour:
But the real downer is that we have had such lovely spring weather and today I am watching the snow fall and not just wet snow, but big flakes of snow. I wish who ever pissed off Mother Nature would apologise.. :windy: :grrr:
Thank god for good books… :reading: And at least there is a long weekend coming up this week that will put a smile on a lot of peoples faces… Hope you have a good week.

Ah, the ups & downs of life, huh? :gum: The weather here has been schizophrenic, too. :windy:
But I’m still thankful for my frustrating family & that it’s Spring-ish rather than full-on Winter…& I’m *always* thankful for good books. Yay for that! :reading:

We went down to Green Bay Wisconsin this past weekend. Partly because my son’s gf graduated from St. Norbert’s College. Also it is our 29th ann. today so we combined the two. Beautiful weather down there.
