Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, my Darlings!  I hope you’re having a wonderful week, with lots to be grateful for.  Be sure to share with us so we can all do a happy dance together, okay? :walk

This was my birthday week, so I’ve certainly got lots to be thankful for.

I AM HAPPY that it snowed on my birthday.  No, I’m not fan of shoveling or the cold temperatures that usually accompanies the fluffy stuff, but I do love when it’s a “blanket of white” all beautiful & not yet tracked through by cars & footsteps.  But I’ll be okay with it if we don’t get any more until Christmas. :cold

I AM HAPPY that I finished the first draft of my Top Sekrit work-in-progress the night before my birthday.  It ran longer than I expected, so it was taking longer to complete than I expected.  But finishing it on my birthday eve was not only delightful, it allowed me to sleep like a baby that night & veg out a little the next day instead of having to work on my birthday. hb

And last but certainly not least, I AM HAPPY with the small gifties I got for my birthday.  Some of them I bought for myself, others Madame Mommy Dearest gave me.

If you saw Tuesday’s post, then you already know about my birthday booty. :blowitout   If not, then I’ll recap.  This year’s birthday theme was perfume & lip gloss.  I’m not sure how much they’ll help me in a Zombie Apocalypse, but I am very well-stocked now with Pepsi- & Coke-flavored lip balms & Kitty Girl perfume.  Whoo-hoo!  Two of my favorite things, & they’re going to keep me happy for a long time to come. :gobble

So how about you?  Whether it was your birthday week (or month :cake ) or not, what are you happy about this week?  We’re ready to do a happy turkey dance with you to celebrate! :walk

I am happy this Sunday, that I am not spending it the same way I spent last Sunday in hospital… All is well again..

    • Heidi says:

So happy to hear that, Kathleen! I can’t remember if you mentioned being in the hospital or not, but I did notice you hadn’t been around much this week…so sorry to hear it. :cold

Take care of yourself & feel better soon, okay? :pie

And enjoy being our Good Girl for the Day, since you win The Dungeon’s Golden Halo this morning! :lookingatyou

      • Kathleen O says:

Thank you. Heidi.. I am feeling much better. I better watch that my Golden halo doesn’t tarnish…

        • Heidi says:

Well, I’ve updated the sidebar, so now you get to choose—you can keep the Halo, since that was up when you arrived this morning, or you can lay claim to our brand new Pilgrim Hat.

Mistress Heidi recommends covering the Halo with the Hat, but that’s just because she doesn’t like anyone *not* wearing horns. :cuttingturkey

I am grateful that it’s another Sunday to enjoy and that it is almost the holiday season. The Hallmark Channel is turning me into a sappy mess, but I love it. And next weekend will be even better because I am going to one of my favorite places to see a couple of holiday shows – in Lancaster, PA.

    • Heidi says:

LOL I know what you mean…the holiday commercials are starting to get to me. I’m not sure I’m ready for the holidays yet, tho…so much to do, so little time! :giggling

      • Dee says:

Yup. Thanksgiving in 11 days. Crazy. Feels like the year flew by.

        • Heidi says:

I’m more worried about Christmas—I’ve got nothing. :cold

And Thanksgiving may be skipped this year. Everybody’s going to be off doing other stuff & I’ll probably be working, so it may be a turkey TV dinner for me. LOL :full

  3. Mary Kirkland says:

So glad to hear you had a great birthday!
    :cake

I am happy that I found a tiny ferret santa hat and scarf and sent away for it so that I can hopefully take some pictures of my rats wearing it. lol
