Friday Funnies

Part of the reason I don’t get too wrapped up in the fabulous photos of craft items & baked goods on Pinterest & the like is that I know I could never pull off any of them. :may33

But that doesn’t stop me from getting a huge chuckle out of others’ attempts. :may32

These are just scary :may17 and so like the results that I would get. I am no Martha Stewart. :may9

Oh, this is totally how my attempts would turn out. I once watched Martha Stewart dot little eyes on tiny little bluebird cupcakes & all I could think was, “Life is too short!” :may33

Oh my goodness… I had to laugh! :may19

Who wouldn’t? They crack me up every time I see them! And the fact that folks add “Nailed it!” to them just makes it better. :may32

Too funny. I love the “barrel” cake that’s made by wrapping kitkats around a cake to make the barrel. It has fudge frosting inside with marzipan pan pig butts complete with curly tails (as if the pigs are diving under). It is so cute. I don’t even want to think what mine would look like.

    • Heidi says:

I don’t think I’ve seen that one! If you find a link, lmk…I can only imagine how *my* attempt would turn out. :May37

I’m currently working on a craft project I saw on Pinterest but putting my own twist to it. I spot painted a painter’s canvas and then dropped alcohol from a dropper to blend colors. That was step one and it got the way I wanted but nothing liek the picture on Pinterest, there background was plain blue.

    • Heidi says:

You’re so brave to even try. And, hey, if it turns out nicely, it doesn’t matter if it’s *exactly* like the sample one. :mat27

      Good luck!
