Free Book Friday (with a side of Funny)

This week’s Free Book Friday giveaway is a Harlequin Desire by Maureen Child, Conquering King’s Heart

To enter the giveaway for this book, simply leave a comment to today’s post that includes the code FBF—for “Free Book Friday,” of course—to let me know you’re interested in the drawing. (U.S. residents only for the prize, please, but everyone is welcome to chat.)

PhotobucketWinner will be announced during our Happy Sunday post on…well, you know, Sunday.

Winner is responsible for contacting me with her mailing information—i.e. I will not be contacting you—so be sure to check back in or you might not even know you won! :happysad

(If prize isn’t claimed within 14 days, another name may be drawn or item may be tossed back into the goody bag to be re-used for a future giveaway.)

  3. Anne says:

I love the funnies on the side bar, couldn’t believe the one from Diagnosis Murder. Just seemed a tad risque from what I remember of Dr. Mark Sloan and crew.

    • Heidi says:

I love Diagnosis Murder! And once in a while, they come up with a really good line. There were also several eps that dealt with call girls, which was a little risque for that show. This quote, tho, is from one about an author, I think. I found it both appropriate & amusing. :lolgeez

Okay, how sad is it that I didn’t even know we had this emoticon :cherry until Ruth used it! And I’m the one who put the new set of emoties together. :cat

My fave funny is the Johnny Depp one. I might say my Darling Dwayne or Jason Statham or Dean Winchester, but I appreciate the sentiment. :lolgeez

FBF! I love all the emoticons. I love Elvis! I always make sure that I have the car keys so that I can’t get left at Walmart.

    • Heidi says:

He he. I always make sure I’m steering the cart so everybody knows if they leave me behind, they leave the goodies behind, too. :biteya

      • Ruth A. Chestnut says:

Oh Heidi, I fight my daughter for that shopping cart cause then she won’t lose me since I have the car keys. At 21 she has a tendency to lose me in the store. :lolgeez

        • Heidi says:

In my family, they have a rule: Don’t leave Heidi unattended with the shopping cart.

Yes, I’m allowed to steer it, but if you wander off & leave me alone with it, when you come back, it will be chock full of non-food items. I’m like a magician…where did that come from? where did that come from? :lolgeez
