Free Book Friday

With Christmas just around the corner, I feel almost legally obligated to give away holiday-themed reads for the next few weeks.  And what could be better than my very own Christmas titles? :mistletoe

So we’ll start with my very first Christmas book, CHRISTMAS IN HIS ROYAL BED (Silhouette Desire #1833).

To enter, simply leave a comment to today’s post that includes the code FBF—for “Free Book Friday,” of course—to let me know you’re interested in the drawing. (U.S. residents only for the prize, please, but everyone is welcome to chat.)

Winner will be announced during our Happy Sunday post on…well, you know, Sunday. Winner is also responsible for contacting me with her mailing information—i.e. I will not be contacting you—so be sure to check back in or you might not even know you won! :xmastree

    FBF!!!

The penguins made me LOL tee hee

    Their shock faces is adorable!!!

The doctor cartoon made me giggle, I didn’t see THAT one coming.

    • Heidi says:

I hope no one is offended by the tumor cartoon. Yes, I know it’s all kinds of wrong, but isn’t that what The Dungeon is about? Folks should know by now that my sense of humor runs toward the morbid at times. And if you are offended…ignore it & just chuckle over the first two, right? :justsoool

  5. Anne says:

The first picture really made me smile. Being a life long cat owner, I’ve add my own, usually humorous (thank goodness for unbreakable ornaments) cat and christmas tree moments. I haven’t put up a tree in probably 15 years because of my cats, no poinsettias in the house either-poisonous.

    FBF

    • Heidi says:

Same here, Anne! The cats get into everything! Had one who used to love sleeping on the Xmas tree skirt, which was fine, but we had to go the no-tinsle/unbreakable ornament route, too. Now…well, it’s just not worth it. I’ll decorate & celebrate in other cat-friendly ways. LOL

Let me just say that this is the book that got me hooked on Heidi’s books. It’s a very good book. Mine is even signed!!!! :dancing

    • Laura J. says:

PS–Santa…it was a simple typo. I should have .org instead .com . Really.

      • Heidi says:

Yeah, yeah. Altho, honestly, I’ve done searches a time or two when stuff popped up I was *not* expecting. Those XXX sites are sneaky, let me tell ya.

    • Heidi says:

Aw, thank you! I’m very happy to hear that, even tho (confession time…& pretend you didn’t hear this after you’ve read it…) I’ve never thought this one of my strongest books/Desires. But I did have fun with it, & I’m glad you enjoyed it enough to read more of my stuff. :Bigthumbs

  7. Dee says:

I love the Christmas funnies! As usual.

For all I know, Santa gets my humor and appreciates my blog. I know a girl can dream, but hey…why the hell not.

FBF for the beloved Christmas title.

  8. Victoria CK says:

FBF yes, we are all behind this year! Can I just have an extra month to get ready?? Not that I woundn’t still be behind because something always seems to come up…

BTW, Santa on the sidebar is just wrong! There is more than one reason he is always covered from head to toe! I don’t think even Mrs. Clause sees him undressed…

    Happy Holidays Heidi!

I need a new book! Although the library system in my city is large, it can’t handle me! I think I’ve read everything! All good stuff anyway! :xmastree

  11. mary k says:

FBF! I would love to win this book. :dancing

I love seeing funny cartoons around Christmas time, ok, anytime really. I have been putting them all over my blog as well because some of them are just too funny. Is that a cat hiding in the tree?

  12. Stacey says:

    :socool
FBF!!! You know, my local library has pretty much STOPPED carrying the Desire books! I think I need to move!

Would love something new to read!!

  13. Karla says:

who can resist FBF!!! :xmastree hope you and your family are having a nice holiday season so far.. i know i’m loving the snow. lol

  14. Heidi says:

Well, I can’t be a proponent of doing *all* your reading thru libraries, since authors don’t get credit for a fan base that way. But since I’m a friend of my own local libraries, I know how great they can be for catching up with titles you missed or that are out of print. Not to mention research! I use libraries a lot for research!

  15. SiNn says:

I love the libv for authors i havent heard of or are ne wto me itry their stuff out from the lib first them buy books after

this is one of the books i haventr ead of urs
