Today is World Rhino Day, and StopRhinoPoaching.com has created a great new challenge to not only raise money but awareness for the need to protect this incredibly important endangered species!
The challenge is very simple and works as follows:
Either you donate $5 to a rhino conservation fund or you paint your nose red and publicly challenge 5 friends to do the same. Your friends then have 48 hours to respond. If they accept, they must either donate $5 or paint their noses red, and challenge another 5 people!
Personally, I chose to do both. My $5 donation went to StopRhinoPoaching.com, & here’s my photo of “Going Red for Rhinos”:
I’m not just challenging 5 friends, though, I’m challenging ALL OF YOU! Come on, my Darlings—paint your nose red & post a pic to your Facebook & Twitter accounts…include these links…challenge your friends to join the challenge.
It’s honestly not that difficult. I used some red frosting from the cupboard, & I’m sure there are many other things you could find to paint your nose red. :hmmm:
And this is such an important cause! Did you know…
Help raise awareness & save this amazing creature…& have a bit of fun in the process.
So paint your nose, take a pic, & post about it everywhere you can think of…including here! Mistress Heidi wants to see all her Darlings with red noses from something other than too much wine or overexertion with the Dungeon Hotties.
Let the countdown begin — only 20 more days…
Happy Sunday, everyone! Can you believe another week has passed us by already? Or that September is half over? :catwolf:
Well, I think you can guess at least a couple of things I AM HAPPY about this week…
I AM HAPPY with our fancy new emoticons! :offtoschool: The Fall ones are still there, but we’ve also added a bunch of fabulous Halloween emojis to put us in the holiday mood & simply to enjoy until then. :happyhalloween: If you haven’t already, check them out, then feel free to play, play, play.
I AM HAPPY that we got another giant load of stuff to the new house. And we’re talking some of the big stuff—appliances, furniture, the riding mower… Yikes! :skeletondoor:
I can’t even tell you how incredibly thankful I am for the friends who helped us with that, either. :monsterbar: Out of the blue, some friends of Madame Mommy Dearest said they had a truck & trailer, & would be happy to help us whenever we needed them. Just when we were beginning to wonder how the heck we were ever going to get the heavy items moved, too. :windy:
They not only offered, but totally followed through. And they not only followed through, but even though I was ready & willing to do a lot of the work myself, taking advantage of only the truck/trailer as much as possible, they barely let me do anything. They came in, asked what needed to go, & went to work hauling whatever I pointed to. I almost didn’t know what to do with myself. :zombiehand:
And finally, I AM HAPPY that The Kittehs still seem to be handling this moving thing well. So much is missing…so many of their sleeping & hiding spots are gone, but they just keep rolling with the punches. Whenever something gets moved or disappears, they explore the new area & even have fun with the new “decor.” Fingers crossed their laid-back attitude extends to being dumped into the new house. Because it’s coming…& I’m nervous. :blackcat:
So how about you? What have you been up to this week & what are you feeling happy about or thankful for?
Take a minute to share a few bits of gratitude with us so we can cheer you on!
