Chipmunks Roasting on an Open Fire? I wonder if it’s on YouTube…

I love those translated titles! Wait for it…wait for it…okay, it’s Xmas *now* you can sing. LOL And how can something called “Xmas Has Been Cancelled” not be good? :biggrin

      • Minna says:

“Xmas Has Been Cancelled” is a real anti-Christmas song. It starts with “It’s no wonder I don’t believe in Santa, every Christmas Eve some fat dork plugs up the chimney. And elves, I saw one yesterday, he looked at me from the mirror, his face upside down…”

And that Santa on that YuoTube video? He looks just awful!

We also have a song for pig, as that’s what we eat around here instead of turkey at Christmas:
        Juice Leskinen – Sika (Pig)

I have a soft spot for The Muppets at Christmas time. Especially their version of The 12 Days of Christmas. I bought the John Denver/Muppets album but truthfully, I can only stomach one or two songs. I’m sure he was a nice guy, but really not my cup of tea. I love the music you have on your list! And, the Barenaked Ladies Christmas album is awesome! Esp that song they do with Michael Buble… is that the one you listed? :question

My all time favorite song is the David Bowie/Bing Crosby version of Little Drummer Boy.

I can’t remember any Xmas music from The Muppets, but I LOVE them! Now I’ve gotta go find something! :feellikedancin

Love Barenaked Ladies, but don’t think I’ve heard anything from Michael Buble…gonna search for him, too, since you guys all seem to like his Xmas stuff so much.

You named quite a few of my favorites already on your list, Heidi, but I’m going to throw in Michael Buble as well. Also, as a kid I always loved Anne Murray’s Christmas album [my mom played it every year] and Brenda Lee’s version of Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.

Plus 98 Degrees from my boyband days because there is nothing like Drew’s baritone singing Little Drummer Boy or the classic lines from “This Gift” which I did tell them can be taken so dirty [I must admit I only revealed it because Grey Goose and cranberry had been ingested]

“I’ve been waiting to give this gift tonight/
    I’m down on my knees/
    There’s no better time…”

    • Heidi says:

:beerlaugh Yeah, gotta tell ya…w/o reverent Xmas music in the background, I definitely take those lyrics in the dirty way.

Hey, I think I’ve got an Anne Murray Xmas album…love her, I’ve just never added her to iTunes & w/ the Sirius music stations on TV, it’s usually easier just to tune into one of those than put a CD in the actual CD player! (Gads, how lazy can I get, huh? :frank )

  4. Hollie says:

I have a few fave Christmas songs
The 12 days of Christmas with Bob and Doug Mackenzie
    Angels Among Us by Alabama
the muppets 12 days of christmas

  5. mary k says:

Mine has always been the Chipmunks song (Christmas don’t be late) I’ve liked that since I was a kid and I still do. I’ll have to look some of thoe others up.
