Tangled in Allure

This is so exciting…& I owe a huge thank-you to to Carly Phillips, who alerted me to this bit of good fortune, otherwise I would have been completely clueless. :Huh

But apparently, TANGLED UP IN LOVE is highlighted in the February issue of Allure magazine as part of their what’s-hot-now “Beauty and the Beat” feature:

From the magazine:  Under the Covers…  Not everyone’s fantasy involves Fabio in shining armor.  These days, romance authors are exploring every conceivable setting for material—and you might be surprised to learn where they find it.

And my humorous contemporary novel, TANGLED UP IN LOVE (“Chicks with Sticks” – Book 1) is highlighted for its knitting-turned-sexy plotline! :jumping

Here’s the (awesome, if I do say so myself) close-up:

Thank you so much to Allure & the article’s author, Alexandra Owens for the terrific shout-out! I couldn’t be more delighted! :blowkiss

Thanks, guys! :heart This really is so exciting for me, I think because it was such a big surprise. I didn’t know about it, wasn’t expecting it. And then when Carly told me, I was all kinds of nervous worrying that it might not be a very nice write-up…as write-ups about romance novels tend to be. But it’s awesome & so much fun to see!

Thanks goodness I wrote a trilogy about HOT, SEXY KNITTING, huh? :twirl

This is still my favorite book by you Heidi! I’m glad to see it getting some more recognition (or re-recognition)! It’s such a fun book. And anyone who has not yet read it, trust me on this one, reading this book while at a stop light is not a good idea. Just sayin.

Thank you, all! It’s a very cool feeling, indeed. And I just love that cover with Zooey Deschanel. I really like her. (But don’t care so much for her sister – how weird is that?) Love that adorable pose, too! :blowkiss

  13. Bonia says:

Yay! I’m so glad that you got some good recognition! You completely deserve it!

I just started Loves me, Loves me Knot and I can’t put it down. I already have the 3rd waiting beside my bed to hopefully start tonight! I just started this one today. Yeah my boss isn’t getting a lot of work done, but I’ll make up for it! I’ve missed out and reading such wonderful books!

    • Heidi says:

Thank you so much, Bonia! I’m delighted you’re enjoying Gage & Jenna & will soon be checking out Zack & Grace. Loved, loved, loved those books. Often wish I could write them over & over again, just for fun. LOL :jumping

      • Bonia says:

I did end up finishing Gage and Jenna in 1 day! I haven’t gotten a start on Zack and Grace yet, mainly because for some reason my boss thinks he pays me to work. WTH right? lol
I am starting them ASAP! I also have your must love vampires, and the bite before christmas on order through amazon! It’s not to late to read christmas is it?

I’m thinking more and more about ordering a kindle fire, so I can have a tablet and a reader, I just have to decide if I like the physical book or if I’ll be ok with an electronic book….
        Decisions, decisions…. :curses

    WOW!!!!!! :jumping

What a great surprise! This is my very favorite aspect of creativity. The ripple effect. How something that we “put out there” can have a long, and lasting effect on other people for years to come.

Inspiring others is THE best reward, imho.

    ***HUGE CONGRATS***
    :thumbsup
