Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, my Darlings of The Dungeon!  How are you feeling this week?  Thankful, blessed, joyful?  All of the above, I hope! img19

This week, I AM HAPPY that I was finally able to share the news of my new house with you guys! img23  It’s such a huge event for me, & it all came about so amazingly, it was really hard not to say anything the minute I thought it was going to happen.  But of course I wanted to be sure, so I bit right through my tongue trying to keep it all to myself. img26

I AM HAPPY that I got the water & electric turned on at the new house, so we can go out there now & use the bathroom, if we need to, or not be in the dark if we show up a little late in the day.

I AM HAPPY to discover that the new house is really cool.  And I mean that in both definitions of the word—the house is totally awesome, but it’s also cool inside when outside is witheringly warm. img14  Each time I’ve been out there so far, no matter how hot it was outdoors or how hard it was to stay cool at “the old house,” the interior of the new house has been completely comfortable.  Even without the air conditioning on!  (Yes, the new house has central air img20 but I’m not sure we’ll need it very often, if this summer has been any indication.  And the previous owners did say they hardly ever used it.)  I think because it’s a brick house.  I know my grandparents’ house was brick & never seemed to be as warm as other houses in the summer.  Whoo-hoo for me!  I can’t wait to be living there, especially when next summer rolls around. img16

I AM HAPPY to already have several loads of stuff dropped off at the new house.  What I can pack up & move on my own, anyway.  The big stuff—furniture & large appliances will go later with the help of some movers I’ve already sort of got lined up.  I’m just not ready to have other people helping yet, but when I am, I will happily let them take over, believe me! img15

And finally, I AM HAPPY just knowing I’ve got a new house to move to soon. img25  I can’t believe it’s really ours, but I can’t wait to be living there year-round & start working on all the fixing up & rearranging that still needs to be done.  It’s going to be a lot of work, but I know it will totally be worth it. img18

So how about you?  What good news do you have to share with us this week?  News, gratitude, happiness…  Whatever it is, we want to hear about it! img19

    So happy for you!!
I am happy my husband was able to get the work done out of town in just a few days instead of the 7 they predicted, that we are promised rain by Wed (PLEASE!), that my boys are both happy and healthy and well as the hubby and myself AND that my dad came through with flying colors on all his testing at the Mayo Clinic (Cancer check) this week and they don’t want to see him for 2 years in regards to his new hip!! img32 img17 img22

Thank you, LeeAnn! But I’m so happy for you, too! All GREAT news! img19

Good health for me, MMD, & The Kittehs is always at the top of my list, you’d just get sick of hearing it if I mentioned it every week. img32

But I remember how nervewracking it was when MMD went for her post-cancer checks, & then how relieved & happy we were when she got the all-clear! img38 So that’s wonderful news about your dad, & I’ll happy dance with you! Ditto on the new hip. img20

Congrats on the new house and the beginning stages of the move. Hopefully, by the end of summer our own move will start.

Right now is the purging part and for some items it is hard for me to let go (especially books!)

    • Heidi says:

As soon as I’m finished, I’ll start sending good moving juju your way. img26

I’m not doing so well with the purging, either. I’m really trying, but would probably say I’m only managing to get rid of about 1% of my junk. All the rest, I neeeeeeeed! img34

Love the picture of your house. It’s really nice. So happy that you are so happy about it.

I am happy that our dog got a clean bill of health from the vet and we decided to leave his broken tail alone. His previous owners abused him and somehow broke his tail at the end and never fixed it so it grew back together broken and sticks out side ways but it doesn’t seem to bother him and the vet said we should just leave it alone. img32
