Free Book Friday (with a side of Funny)

Being a writer, words are very important to me. Today, I’d like to give you a little vocabulary lesson…

I’m feeling the love this month  :jumping so every Friday from now until it’s release on April 1st, I’ll be giving away a signed copy of my brand new Harlequin Desire, ON THE VERGE OF I DO!

To enter the giveaway for this book, simply leave a comment to today’s post that includes the code FBF—for “Free Book Friday,” of course—to let me know you’re interested in the drawing. (U.S. residents only for the prize, please, but everyone is welcome to chat.)

PhotobucketWinner will be announced during our Happy Sunday post on…well, you know, Sunday.

Winner is responsible for contacting me with her mailing information—i.e. I will not be contacting you—so be sure to check back in or you might not even know you won! :curses

(If prize isn’t claimed within 14 days, another name may be drawn or item may be tossed back into the goody bag to be re-used for a future giveaway.)

Free Book Friday! (Although, I wish it were Monday right now. Next Monday….the one that comes after this weekend. Please don’t hate me. :sick )

I LOVED that second one, but the others are good too!

  10. Anne says:

I took the first one seriously and thought that your choice was a tad strange, then I realized when we got to the “body” that these weren’t “real” school book examples….I need more caffeine.

About 20 years ago, I went with my father looking at cars. When the sales person popped the trunk the first words out of my mouth were “Wow! You could fit two bodies in there.” The salesman had a slightly worried look on his face. When you say stuff like that without thinking you know it’s time to put down the thrillers and mysteries and pick up a Heidi Betts’ book.

    • Anne says:

I should also mention my father immediately agreed with me and made an additional comment about how handy it would be. We’re a weird, weird family.

    • Heidi says:

LOL So glad we “gotcha” there for a minute. I love the little write-ups…they really do catch you by surprise.

That’s too funny about the car trunk. Totally something I would have said, too! Which is probably why I get so many strange looks, too. Oh, well. :twirl

    • Heidi says:

Thanks, Cindy. So sorry to hear about Rusty, though. I lost two very close together a while back, too. That’s what happens when you adopt them close together & they’re about the same age…everything creeps up at the same time. :sick I’ll say a prayer, tho, & I’m so glad you have little Chance to keep things peppy. :kitty

well Heidi it is Monday and my Rusty is still at the vets. Now they say they think the reason he is vomiting is his Pancreas.
