photo whattoreadnext_zpsenxadqrd.jpgRight now, I’m reading Lena Diaz‘s Harlequin Intrigue, Tennessee Takedown, & loving it! :reading:

But it’s almost time to start another book, & I’m getting anxious.

For reasons I’m not going to share :howyoudoin: I’ve got four titles lined up to read “next”…I just can’t decide which should go first.

So how about helping a girl out & letting me know which of these YOU think I should read next! :highfive:

Which of these books should I read?

CAPTIVE BRIDE – Johanna Lindsey
IT HAPPENED ONE AUTUMN – Lisa Kleypas
LORD OF FIRE AND ICE – Connie Mason & Mia Marlowe
NAKED DRAGON – Annette Blair

I’m burned out on historicals, but Lisa Kleypas is the only author who can tempt me back.

    • Heidi says:

lol Can you believe that until about 6mos ago, I hadn’t read a historical in YEARS? Not sure why; I just wasn’t in the mood, I guess. :wall:

But then I started reading them again, & now I’m devouring them. They’re almost all I want to read! :reading: Lorraine Heath, Christina Dodd, Lisa Kleypas (of course), Teresa Medeiros…so many that I’m just loving!

  2. Kathleen O says:

It’s a tough choice but I would go with Lisa Kleypas.. :reading:

  3. Dee says:

    Voting Kleypas too.

I’m the same way. I am in a historical/contemporary bent now and moved away from the paranormals that I used to read.

    • Heidi says:

I haven’t read a paranormal in a while, either. Well, Cherry Adair’s Black Magic, but that felt more contemporary w/ magic than the types I think of as “paranormal”—vampires, werewolves, dark stuff.

I definitely go thru phases! :flower:

I say you can’t go wrong with a naked dragon…

  5. Heidi says:

Sooooo… Those of you who are voting for the Kleypas historical, have you read it? And if so, can you answer a couple of questions for me?

    1) Is the heroine taller than the hero?
    2) Does it contain Geek/Nerd elements?

Long story on why I need to know, but I’m trying to read stories with certain elements or that fit certain categories, & those are two that I *thought* It Happened One Autumn might fill. But now I’m wondering.

    • Anne says:

I’ve read all the Wallflower books, but don’t remember the exact details. However, I don’t recall any of her heroes being short. None are really the egg head type, though one or two may have a scientific bent, but I don’t think it was in this series.

      • Heidi says:

If I’m not mistaken, I saw somewhere that “though the heroine is tall for a woman, the hero is still 3″ taller…” so I’m not sure it suits my needs at the moment. Same with the science geek aspect. :crying:

And here I thought it would help me knock out two categories with one book. Now I’m afraid I’ll have to go back to the booklist. :flyswat:

Btw, I loved the Wallflower Christmas book.

        • Dee says:

The heroine was described as a brash, direct speaking American. I remember enjoying the book and would have crushed on Marcus.

  6. Mary Kirkland says:

I don’t read historicals anymore and most of the books I do read these days are PNR so my pick would be Naked Dragon.

    • Heidi says:

Do you read paranormal historicals? I’m just curious, because there are a lot of them out there now. :watermelon:

I do love the cover of Naked Dragon… And read the blurb last night, which sounds really good, too!
