I’m more a dog person myself :) but I love me some men. I wonder if it would be wrong and/or give my husband a living hissy fit if I got this to give to my 16 year old daughter? She loves cats (but is VERY allergic to them poor thing).

I know, it is just so, SO sad. Which is why I get so angry at folks who let their cats have kittens every season, then give them away or dump them on shelters. Our local SPCA spokesperson said once that they almost never have to euthanize a placeable (i.e. healthy, friendly, non-biting) dog, but cats get put down on a daily basis. They keep them 48hrs tops, esp. in “kitten season.” I am not kidding when I say I sometimes sit & just bawl over this stuff.
That is why my babies will always be RESCUED!!! I don’t care if I end up adopting a purple people-eater. *g*

That one will have to be for my own personal use and not for my little kiddie’s eyes.
Our local SPCA has been in the news lately here and it’s not for good reasons. I was vry disappointed to learn what was going on there, especially since I had to take animals there a few years ago when we found out my daughter was allergic. I had hoped our kitties, Lucy and Ricky, had been adopted out to good homes. Now I am not so sure.
